Progressives can never be content to rest on their laurels.
After all the New York Times pieces praising the Soviet Union, like an insane leftist Alexander, it has to find new worlds to conquer.
Hence, ’Would human extinction be a tragedy?” a New York Times op-ed piece.
Let’s recall that the old gray lady refused to publish a McCain op-ed when he was running against Obama. But this sort of thing is fine.
“It may well be, then, that the extinction of humanity would make the world better off and yet would be a tragedy. I don’t want to say this for sure, since the issue is quite complex. But it certainly seems a live possibility, and that by itself disturbs me,” the op-ed writer writes.
This is what the Left really believes. It’s just shy about saying it. It dresses up its extremist views in the guise of common sense when what its idealistic nihilism truly demands is the end of the human race.
That’s what the environmentalist movement is all about.
Todd May, a Clemson University philosophy professor, is only following through on the inevitable assumptions of environmentalism and the Left.
