Some polls are so bad that they deserve their own special category of fake news. Sometimes that’s because the polls are carefully statistically manipulated. Others are just set up to fail by asking stupid questions so they can be spun into headlines like this.
A GOP war on ‘woke’? Most Americans view the term as a positive, USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll finds
There have been a number of previous polls that asked how people felt about ‘wokeness’ and often a lot of respondents didn’t know what it was and couldn’t define it. So USA Today/Ipsos decided to ask people which definition fit better and whether it was a compliment or not to produce these worthless results.
The USA Today poll didn’t ask whether people personally approved of wokeness.
The two questions asked whether people considered wokeness an insult, which a majority of Republicans and Independents agreed with, and whether it should be defined as being concerned about social injustice or to be politically correct and police language.
Neither of those questions asks how people personally feel about wokeness. Instead, the questions create ambiguity about whether the respondent is expressing his own feelings or a general perspective. A leftist using woke is probably being complimentary and would consider it to be about social justice. A conservative would not. So this is really asking someone to project a hypothetical person’s perspective on the language. \
That’s a mess and it produces garbage polls like this.

Can’t trust MSM polls. It seems to have become an art form or science, how to manipulate polls to favor the left.

They do it mostly by stacking the sample group and the wording of the questions.

Yeah, statistics used to be a tool for getting at the truth. My favorite example is how statistics was used to track down the source of Cholera in London in the 1800s, by figuring out the geographic location it was coming from. John Snow, in England, in 1854 was the first to identify the importance of contaminated water as its source of transmission. Before that that there were all kinds of weird theories about what caused it, like vapors, that the disease was transmitted by bad air.

We the people have to stop consenting to being ruled by these people, left OR right, and actively resist them, and all who support or enforce their policies. Preferably BEFORE they destroy the world..
