A reminder that the crush on Sen. Manchin, like on most Democrats, liberals, and lefties who take the right position on some things is a one-sided proposition.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Monday defended the bipartisan Senate agreement on gun reform reached over the weekend in the wake of the latest spate of mass shootings, saying none of the measures agreed upon should concern America’s lawful gun owners. 

Lawful gun owners, as opposed to what?

The laws, like most gun control regs, do nothing about the huge criminal class that are the ones exchanging fire in the streets of Chicago, Baltimore, and the Bronx.

The only actually unlawful gun owners get away with it thanks to pro-crime prosecutors and justice system dismantling activists who call themselves reformers.

So who is Manchin talking about?

“They don’t want people who should never have a gun,or is mentally incapacitated or not stable to be able to access anything they want.”  

Who are those people and who gets to make those decisions?

If someone shouldn’t be on the loose, lock them up. Instead of using them as a pretext for sidelining an amendment in the Bill of Rights.

Once you claim that the only people who oppose restrictions on a fundamental rights are unlawful, you’re criminalizing political dissent.
