“None of us came to Congress to impeach a president,” Pelosi said Thursday. “That’s not what we come here to do, and any such actions are to be taken very solemnly and seriously — and in my view, prayerfully.”

Seriously?

It would be bad enough if Pelosi claimed that she hadn’t come to Congress to impeach Trump. At least she has plausible deniability.

But is Nancy going to claim that Rep. Maxine Waters, who all but made impeachment her brand, didn’t come to impeach Trump?

Was Waters “prayerfully” leading “Impeach 45” chants?

Waters is one of a number of House Dems who have made no secret of their urgent desire to impeach President Trump.

When Pelosi denies that, it’s a lie too far.
