After much of Haiti was taken over by gangs, again, the Biden administration announced $133 million in aid.
Secretary of State Blinken, having obviously learned nothing from Afghanistan, has evacuated non-essential personnel from Haiti, while apparently leaving the essential ones behind. And that can only end well.
Before we plunge millions more and more manpower into Haiti, it might be worth asking, “Why?”
Haiti is not just a failed state, it’s a perpetually failed state. When was the last time Haiti was functional?
The Clinton administration implemented what it called Operation Uphold Democracy in the 90s and invaded Haiti to implement regime change. The entire ugly episode helped wreck whatever law and order existed at the time.
The Clintons later dived back in to “help Haiti”, but mostly to help themselves to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Obama promised that we will not “forsake you”. Fast forward to 2024 and Haiti has been in an extended state of disaster, under perpetual TPS immigration status and incapable of doing much for itself.
In 2023, the Biden administration had directed $110 million to Haiti through the summer, followed by another $65 million to bolster Haiti’s police force.
Biden urged the UN Security Council to authorize a UN support mission for Haiti.
It’s the spring of 2024 and things are worse than ever.
Is there anything that we can do that is going to fix Haiti? History tells us that it won’t.
Historically there has been an argument for trying to fix broken nations to avoid a flood of migrants, but that’s not true here either. Nothing we do will fix Haiti or stop the flood of refugees. Successive administrations have tried to fix Haiti and failed.
In 2004, after Clinton’s appointee, Aristide, resigned, Bush sent in the Marines to bring order.
“I would urge the people of Haiti to reject violence, to give this break from the past a chance to work,” Bush urged.
20 years later we know how that worked out.
It’s time to let Haiti go.
Average IQ in Haiti is 67. A vast mass of human ignoramuses.
Similar to Somalia, and as we can see by the antics of “The Squad,” they are not sending their best and brightest.
But they have sent us about 70,000 of them since Biden has been in office.
But Dominican Republic has the exact same people (genetically), living on the same island (Hispaniola). The study of their differences economically and culturally would be very interesting. I think the Spanish prevailed over the French in the D.R. So that is one difference.
I think the Dominican Republic should help Haiti since they are essentially family. If not, several African countries offer citizenship to any black in the African diaspora no matter the country of origin.

Thanks KH! I tried to look up the history. What a mess. The most interesting difference was demographics. 95% of Haitians are of African origin, whereas the Dominican demographics are mostly mixed and only 8% black (and 18%white).
The most interesting history was that there was a slave revolt during the French Revolution. Napoleon tried to take back Haiti but lost 20,000 troops to Yellow Fever and gave up.
It took people a long time to figure out that Yellow Fever was transmitted by mosquitoes. They had all kinds of crazy theories, like bad air from swamps causing it 🙂

There really aren’t any differences between human beings. IQ is supposed to be separate from education and congenital in nature. Unfortunately, education and environment does obviously influence IQ testing but shouldn’t be used to make assumptions about a group’s intelligence. Jews had lower IQs as did Asians in America in the 50’s.
You believe politically motivated lies. Race exists and has real implications. As politically unpopular as it is, the truth is that race creates distinguishable populations that differ massively from one another in almost every aspect that can be seen and measured. X-ray machines can recognize race with 99% accuracy from a chest X-ray. This horrified the woke people who were using AI to enhance X-ray function and so they set out to de-digitize and fuzz the bones so that a normal human being would not be able to understand the images, but the machines were still able to identify race with over 90% accuracy. Bones vary from race to race. The shape and density of our skulls, teeth, chests – all of our bones identify our racial halo groups. We are all the same species, of course. We can interbreed and produce live offspring that can also do the same, but we are different sub-species. If we were dogs, we would call it “breeds.”
There is nothing scary about this, especially in a merit-based, color blind society.

The last I knew, the Army accepted recruits who scored only 30% on the Armed Services Vocational Battery. The last I knew. I doubt it has any intelligence standards anymore. Kipling was an interesting case. His great fame came when the British Empire was at its height, during the Victorian Era. But after his son was killed in WW1 he lost his enthusiasm for war. Or something like that. If I looked it up on the internet again I might find something different, that is just the way I remember it. I read some of his books back in the day, about India during British rule.

I went into one of the larger franchise Latino stores a few months ago. The place is a large as a Kroger or Food Lion, it is a real store, and always busy, but orderly…. Six Haitians had the entire place in a state of disorder, they were walking their carts around the cashiers and insisting that the girls check them out asap. What Im say is they skipped the line of other shoppers, and as the girl was in the process of checking out other shoppers, the Haitians were unloading their carts onto what would be the bagging area of the cashier stand.
Then one Haitian wanted to send money (Western Union) He walked straight to the front of the line, while the girl was in the middle of someone else’s transaction and began forcing his money into the window.
They were also all parked in the fire lane—-these people dont get it, and they never will.
I left there a nervous angry wreck, I will not return.

Gee, Haiti has been independent of France since, I believe, 1804. Yet, it is on the same island as the much more stable and successful Dominican Republic. I thank GOD I was born in the USA and in a little town where everyone knows everyone and would TELL on YOU!!
