First, the Democrats discovered infanticide in the Constitution. Now they’re discovered the right to loot somewhere in there.

U.S. District Court Judge R. Brooke Jackson ruled on Friday night to block the use of chemicals like tear gas and non-lethal weapons like plastic bullets on protesters, saying that their right to free speech was more important than protecting buildings.

“If a store’s windows must be broken to prevent a protester’s facial bones from being broken or eye being permanently damaged, that is more than a fair trade,” Jackson wrote in his page ruling,” Reuters reported.

“If a building must be graffiti-ed to prevent the suppression of free speech, that is a fair trade. The threat to physical safety and free speech outweighs the threat to property.”

Jackson, it won’t surprise you, is an Obama nominee.

Jackson wrote in his ruling: “Although I do not agree with those who have committed property damage during the protests, property damage is a small price to pay for constitutional rights — especially the constitutional right of the public to speak against widespread injustice.”

That this ruling is wildly illegal goes without saying. Beyond that, Jackson offers the entirely false premise that the right to protest covers vandalism and that free speech protections mean that the police can’t intervene when looters are smashing and defacing.

One of the more prominent locations vandalized by Jackson’s thug allies wasn’t a business. It was a Cathedral.

The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver, a 108-year-old building, was at the center of some of the local riots, including the hit-and-run of three Denver police officers, and suffered permanent damage. The walls were also vandalized with graffiti reading, “Pedofiles” and “God is dead”.

Some of the windows of the facility were broken and the gates were badly damaged.

This is the hateful thuggery that the Democrats and their judges are now defending. And this assault on small businesses.

A Denver ramen shop owner was about to open her doors for business earlier this week when she discovered her restaurant had been targeted by rioters overnight.

In an interview on “Fox & Friends” with host Ainsley Earhardt, Menya Ramen & Poke owner Saki Melius remembered that the first thing she saw was that her dumpster was moved onto the street and was on fire. It was only as she walked into the store that she noticed the shattered glass.

“I knew that our window was shattered that night. But, on the next day that I came in, [I] decided that I’m going to clean up to open the store. But, I couldn’t do it. I just stood there with a broom in my hands and just [stared] out the window. And, I just stood [there] and cried,” she recalled.

This vandalism has been approved of by Judge Jackson as the only way to protect the speech of racists.
