There’s a reason that Kamala’s staffers are headed for the exit. As I discussed today in The Decline and Fall of Kamala Harris, she has no future after trying to be everything to everyone only to end up being nothing to no one.
In a party deeply divided between radicals and establishment types, Kamala tried and failed to win the support of both, but is coming away with the support of neither. No one likes her and no one trusts her. And the campaign to undermine her is being waged subtly, but effectively.
Kamala’s top people are leaving because everyone in D.C. understands that she doesn’t have a future. Staffers work for politicians whom they expect will be able to advance their careers. It’s become obvious even among the third and fourth tier people around Kamala that she isn’t going anywhere. And no one with any ambition is likely to stick around and follow her off to the exit.
No longer a senator and a veep no one wants to see in the big chair, she has nowhere to go.
The latest in a series of polls delivers another death blow to Kamala’s presidential ambitions.
Only 22% of people want to see Biden run again. That rises to 37% among Dems, but falls to 10% among indies.
Only 12% of respondents want to see Kamala run in 2024. And among Democrats, only 16%.
That’s a 4% bump.
The only good news here is that there’s no competition.
Warren polls at 3% among both overall voters and Dems. Cory Booker is at 3% and 2% respectively.
Buttigieg, currently being touted, is at 4% overall and at 3% among Democrats.
Ouch.
Kamala is almost certainly going to blame racism. After all she already has. Bad news there too.
“Minority voters, the backbone of Democratic Party support, show little enthusiasm for Biden and only 17% say they want Harris in the job.”
That’s 1% above the Dem numbers.
This poll contains both good and bad news for Biden and Kamala. The bad news is that no one, not even their party, wants them in 2024. The good news is that the Dems aren’t even close to agreeing on anyone else.
