This is a low bar. It’s the curve.
Forget everything else. Opposing anti-Semitism means opposing the murder of Jews. By anyone.
That means Neo-Nazis in Pittsburgh or Kansas City. It means Muslim terrorists in New York City or Jerusalem.
If you’re using the Squirrel Hill synagogue shootings to bash Trump, while completely supporting the flow of tax dollars to the terrorists of the Palestinian Authority who continue to kill Jews, then you don’t oppose anti-Semitism.
You’re just using it to support a political agenda.
Here’s a photo from one such massacre in a synagogue in Israel. The Har Nof massacre. If you don’t oppose this as much as what happened in Squirrel Hill, stop talking about anti-Semitism.
Cousin of brutally murdered British Rabbi of Har Nof synagogue attack:
“It’s absolutely terrible; here’s Corbyn supporting a terrorist group that has killed a British citizen. This is someone from his own country, how can he be like that?” Indeed…https://t.co/PJYv2nsX4G pic.twitter.com/xNChjl6XDo

In an earlier post, I discussed the efforts by the media to defend the Muslim synagogue terror plotters known as the Newburgh Four. That kind of thing has to stop. Instead the media justifies Muslim terrorist attacks on synagogues and then turns around and exploits this latest synagogue shooting to launch blood libels at President Trump’s Jewish associates.
That’s not opposing anti-Semitism. That’s complicity and it’s evil.
There are anti-Semitic elements on the left and the right. And in unstable times, they get mainstreamed. But the alt-right still remains far more marginal than the alt-left. The Squirrel Hill shooter believed that President Trump was controlled by the Jews and that his Neo-Nazi cause had failed. That’s why he carried out his massacre.
Meanwhile Farrakhan fans like Linda Sarsour, Keith Ellison and Eric Holder are front and center on the left. They don’t need to shoot up synagogues, because they’re already winning.
All of this is a problem. And it’s only getting worse.
But let’s get back to basics. For a moment, forget the debates over the ideological details. Let’s define anti-Semitism simply as the murder of Jews. Jews in Israel continue to be murdered. Just like the Jews in Squirrel Hill. If you can’t oppose both sets of crimes, then stop talking about anti-Semitism, stop exploiting the latest massacre and stop pretending that you oppose anti-Semitism.
