Keeping up the age average of the younger members of the Democrat House delegation, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, 83, has announced that she’ll run again and will continue to do so until she dies or turns into Sen. Dianne Feinstein. It took a whole lot to even get her to step down from the leadership, but she isn’t actually leaving.
The San Francisco Democrat and first female speaker of the House told volunteers on Friday that she would seek reelection in 2024, extending a 36-year House career and freezing her would-be California successors in a long-standing holding pattern.
“Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery. Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still there, with liberty and justice for ALL. That is why I am running for reelection — and respectfully ask for your vote,” Pelosi posted shortly after on Friday.
Pelosi told volunteers she would run again at a breakfast for them near downtown San Francisco, at the lodge of a local union for plumbers and pipefitters. She chose that venue because she wanted to tell her “closest supporters” in labor first, according to a close adviser who was granted anonymity to speak candidly.
Pelosi’s closest supporters are plumbers and if you believe that, you’ll believe anything. Shortly after claiming that her base of support was among pipefitters, she explained that she was really running because she can bring in the big bucks.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi told a reporter Friday that she’s mainly running for office to raise money for herself and other Democrats.
Speaking with outlet Politico, the 83-year-old representative from California said her veteran status in Congress is a major asset for raising funds.
“For the House Democrats, though, I needed to be able to still raise significant money for them as a candidate,” she added.
It ain’t the plumbers who are putting in “significant money”. The congressional Democrat leadership used to closely reflect the money pipeline, Pelosi for the San Francisco area, and Schumer for Manhattan, which are some of the largest sources of political cash flowing into races around the country.
Pelosi’s argument comes down to stating that she should stay in office so she can go on acting as a party bagwoman.
Does it get more inspiring than that?

It has been my fate to watch them turn San Francisco from Paradise to Hell.

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon there 39 years ago until men started paying more attention to me than my young bride. We escaped to Yosemite after that. A tiny cabin was much better than a 5 star hotel in Sodom.
Do yourself a favor AA and just get out.

Yosemite is great, and you can buy annual passes. They aren’t expensive, either, even with Bidenflation.
The Washburn Lodge in Yosemite was built by my great great great grandfather or some ancestor like that on my mother’s side. She enjoys researching that genealogy shit. I’ve read some funny stories she’s sent me. The story about “Levi Peck” was the funniest.
Yosemite is a very nice place but I think the park Cunts have changed Washburn Lodge’s name. Fucking leftists. They poison anything they come in contact with.

What an incredibly small world, Jeff. That’s amazing. We hadn’t planned on Yosemite that trip, it just kinda happened after the creepy vibe I got in SF. We saw your great great great grandfather’s lodge and it was truly something, but being the first week in July after our wedding and our trip being spur of the moment, the lodge was booked solid. We were fortunate enough to get one of those small cabins in the low lands and it was a lot of fun. We hiked to the top of Yosemite Falls the next day and I made fellow hikers gasp when I got into the water up to my waist. That was before I saw the sign reading, “How many people will die this year?” with the image of someone going over the falls. I blame it on the ignorance of youth.
Anyway, we loved every second of our time there and took copious pictures. Maybe someday we’ll return, but being nearly a continent away puts a damper on things. We settled in the mountains of east Tennessee after I got out of the service and take full advantage of them, but it’s hard to beat that Yosemite vista as you drive around the corner into the park.

That’s funny that you went in the river near the falls. We all do do dumb things when we’re young.
I didn’t get to stay in Washburn lodge, either but the cabins are nice.
They have little cabins at Big Basin Redwoods Forest near to San Jose, too. They’re nice. Unlike sleeping on the ground, you don’t have to see the people next to you. or hear them snore.
Fuck that shit.

I don’t even go to Frisco, although its a short drive. I cane see derelicts crap on the street here in San Jose and have TWO of my cars stolen without going to San Fran and stepping on a hypodermic needle riddled with AIDS or a big pile of bum shit.

My wife lived in San Jose while I was stationed in San Diego before we got married as a live-in councilor for wards of the state; young girls who’d got into trouble with the law. She’s always been curious as to how things are there now. I’ll pass this sad news along.
Jeff Bargholz says
Yes, there’s a lot of crime here. It isn’t like that Dionne Warwick song anymore.
I live downtown, which is the worst area. I keep getting into fights with derelicts, even though I try to mind my own business.
Good food here, though, and there’s a four star wine and cheese bar right across from my apartment.

Having watched a video yesterday of someone walking through a forest of these drug-addled zombies in San Francisco, hunched over at the waist and just standing there like a field of half-human mushrooms, I’d say loose-dentured grandma Nanshe represents San Francisco’s values perfectly; representing sidewalk defecation and syringe surfing since 1865.

Thus far death; thankfully and ultimately, removes them from the stage! If they (the ruling class!) ever figure out how to cheat death — shutter to think.

I think that there is more here than is readily apparent. It could be several things (which I will not get into), but PRIMARILY I think that Pelosi was behind the January 6 2021 riot (and yes, I said riot, NOT insurrection) at the U. S. Capitol. Other congressional leaders, for the most part Democrats, were also privy to the plot. The plan was to STOP the challenges to the election fraud in the key battleground states where President Trump was leading late on election night in November 202, and then the next morning, those States somehow, some way, turned around and ‘went’ Democrat.
The key was when U. S. Representative challenges began to be seconded by U. S.. Senators. If you look at a time lime (it’s all on video), after THAT is when the plan was put into action and U. S. Capitol Police began waiving ordinary citizens INTO the U. S. Capitol. The violent rioters were most likely ANTIFA. The people who have been prosecuted are just scapegoats (some are culpable but only a very few). The place was ‘crawling’ with incognito Federal agents that day in preparation for all of this.
But back to Pelosi. IMO Pelosi is now afraid of being ‘found out’ concerning her role in this January 6 plot. Pelosi thinks that so long as she remains a senior Democrat member of Congress, that will afford her a level of protection that she would not have as a mere private citizen. Thus, her reason for continuing to seek re-election which she currently seems assured of winning.

Go look at the abandoned Embarcadero to see “San Francisco values” on public display.

A woman who often visited Africa, and observed it from afar when not there, told me, “These African strongman dictators so often can’t relinquish their power no matter how old they get.”
