Politicians tend to claim without evidence that Ramadan, an Islamic religious period during which violence tends to amp up, is a time of peace. America and Israel were warned not to bomb Islamic terrorists over Ramadan.

None of these non-Muslim politicians ever give the various Muslim gunmen the memo that Ramadan is a time of peace.

And so the violence continues, not only in Yemen, Iran or Israel, but also in Philly.

At least three people — including two juveniles– were shot when rival gangs opened fire during an Eid al-Fitr event in West Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Over 1,000 people – including families with children – are believed to have been at the outdoor event to celebrate Eid, an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan.

Around 30 gunshots erupted around 2:30 p.m. at the public celebration.

“There appear to be two factions within the park who [were] exchanging gunfire,” Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said.

One of the people shot was a juvenile who pulled out a gun at the event near the Philadelphia Masjid mosque and the Sister Clara Muhammad School.

Philly is one of the centers of the Nation of Islam. Clara Muhammad was the wife of Elijah Muhammad, who introduced her husband, Elijah Muhammad, to Wallace Fard, a white guy pretending to be black, who founded the cult before absconding. Elijah became its leader and then had Malcolm X killed for breaking with him and denouncing him.

The Nation of Islam split into two factions, one that maintained the black nationalist UFO genetic engineering nuttery of the original movement, and one that followed Malcolm X into conventional Islam.

The Clara Muhammad schools are the educational system of the Nation of Islam faction that became fully Muslim.

And Philly’s new, even worse mayor, acted like the violence was some sort of attack on Islam.

“In the midst of Eid al-Fitr, a Holy Day of celebration, our city’s Muslim community experienced a sacrilegious act of gun violence today in a West Philadelphia park. Every community of faith has the absolute right and need to worship in peace,” Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker wrote on X. “We stand united with the Muslim community, and vow to work together to restore balance and light to our communities.”

A bunch of teens were shooting at each other at a Muslim event. Mayor Parker is standing “united with the Muslim community” in what?

There’s nothing sacrilegious about Muslim violence during Ramadan. An Idaho Muslim convert was just busted planning a church attack specifically over Ramadan.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro posted on X that Pennsylvania State Police have been in contact with Philly police and offered “full support” for the shooting.

“Eid should always be a time of joy for our Muslim neighbors — and I grieve for every member of the Philadelphia Muslim community whose celebration was shattered by gun violence today,” Shapiro wrote in part.

Different cultures have different ideas of joy.

One resident of the area, who was with his 7-year-old granddaughter across the street when the shooting broke out, said it was frustrating that the violence interrupted a religious celebration.

“In my years in the 80s and 90s, this was unheard of. You didn’t bring [violence] to the holy places,” he said. “This is more of an indictment on the community, the police department, the politicians: We have to do more. We have to do more for these children. … We have to have more organizations on the ground, more money invested into developing these children. If not, you’re going to continue to get this and it’s going to spill over into innocent people.”

It’s not the job of the politicians to convince your kids not to shoot each other. And the police are just there to clean up afterward. If you can’t raise your kids right, all the politicians will do is issue statements of unity.

Islam has not only failed to stop violence, it has incited it around the world. Islam’s only solution to violence is to direct it outward at non-Muslims, but when you rely on violence as your solution, the chickens come home to roost.
