Predictable. All too predictable.
Pope Francis would never dare to do this in Communist China or in any totalitarian regime. However, in the United States, he feels free to appoint an enemy of the incoming president to undermine him.
Pope Francis has appointed Cardinal Robert McElroy, a vocal defender of migrants and critic of Donald Trump’s first administration, as the next archbishop of Washington, DC.
Cardinal McElroy, 70, is a strong supporter of Francis’ priorities on refugees, the environment and welcoming LGBTQ Catholics…
Early in Trump’s first term, then-Bishop McElroy gave a speech in Modesto, California, specifically referencing Trump and urging Catholics to become “disruptors” of the anti-immigrant agenda.
“We must disrupt those who would seek to send troops into our streets to deport the undocumented, to rip mothers and fathers from their families. We must disrupt those who portray refugees as enemies rather than our brothers and sisters in terrible need,” he said.
And after Trump’s first election victory in 2016, McElroy lamented “a profound sickness in the soul in American political life” and that it would be “unthinkable” for Catholics to “stand by while more than ten percent of our flock is ripped from our midst and deported.”
Massimo Faggioli, a church historian who teaches at Villanova University in Pennsylvania and follows the Francis papacy closely, told CNN the appointment is a “bold move” by the pope and that announcing it on the anniversary of the January 6 US Capitol attack and two weeks before Trump’s inauguration is the “statement in the [announcement] statement.”
True. And shamelessly so. It’s a deliberate slap in the face. But it’s hard to see how many minds this will actually change. The Catholic Church, like many religious groups, is increasingly split between those who are serious about their faith and those who are serious about their leftist politics.
This is not about compassion. Strip this scum of all tax exemptions. If you want to support treason like this traitor pay for it yourself.
True compassion is inviting the stranger in through your own front door, not waving him to sneak into your neighbor’s back door.
Affluent white leftists are dumping millions of illegal immigrants into poor neighborhoods and small towns, where social resources are already strained to the breaking point. BTW this disproportionately impacts poor black neighborhoods that already suffer a shortage of jobs and affordable housing and have overloaded schools and hospitals. Systemic racism?
If you want to truly welcome millions of immigrants, vote in a Congress that expands legal options and funds their support, starting with raising your own taxes and opening your spare bedroom. Until then, stuff the virtue signaling.

I hope our Jewish Brothers and Sisters understand not all Christians fall for this garbage. In fact, many of us celebrate His (Hashem’s) Holy Days and Shabbat – the main difference between us being the belief in Messiah Yeshua. Please understand, the “Christian Church” is very, very balkanized so I would ask we’re not all painted with a Catholic or even Protestant brush.

The Catholic church as a body does not represent Christianity, but Progressive ideology dressed in twisted Christian concepts achieved with zero exegesis and copious, satanic eisegesis.
This does not mean there are no true Catholic Christians, but it does mean these men and women, for whatever reason, will not abandon the jurisdiction of their palpably false church.
Did the LORD tell Israel to open her borders and practice compassion upon those who were ignorant of or who hated her God? Did He command her to make accommodations and tax exemptions for Molech, Astarte and Remphan so their worshippers could have “freedom or religion”?

Kingdom of Heaven to provide us with a new leader and take us off of the road
that leads us to destruction. “Pope” Francis must go.
That’s an epic mismatch. The pope must be clueless about Trumps temperament. That would be like pitting Mike Tyson with the Church Lady. And won’t it be just special? It should be amusing in any case.
If the church believes the illegals should be here, perhaps the church should support them rather than the US taxpayers.
I would think that anyone pretending to be a “Disciple”, as our Lord instructs, to first have an understanding of the Bible. Funny, MY Bible says, regarding “Open Borders – a border-less World”, “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.” Acts 17:26 KJV. Someone should remind the Holy See that “Borders” are “Boundaries”. God established NATIONS for a REASON!

How many refugees are in “the streets” of Vatican City? The governors and mayors who were speaking like the pope developed second thought when the hardest hit states started to send “refugees” to their streets. This pope needs some street education.
