Few Romans in the late decades of their 5th-century AD empire celebrated their newfound “diversity” of marauding Goths, Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Huns, and Vandals.
These tribes en masse had crossed the unsecured Rhine and Danube borders to harvest Roman bounty without a care about what had created it.
Their agendas were focused on destroying the civilization they overran rather than peacefully integrating into and perpetuating the Empire.
Ironically, Rome’s prior greatness had been due to the extension of citizenship to diverse people throughout Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
Millions had been assimilated, integrated, and intermarried and often superseded the original Italians of the early Roman Republic. Such fractious diversity had led to unity around the idea of Rome.
New citizens learned to enjoy the advantages of habeas corpus, sophisticated roads, aqueducts, and public architecture, and the security offered by the legions.
The unity of these diverse peoples fused into a single culture that empowered Rome. In contrast, the later disunity of hundreds of thousands of tribal people flooding into and dividing Rome doomed it.
To meet the challenge of a multiracial society, the only viable pathway to a stable civilization of racially and ethnically different people is a single, shared culture.
Some nations can find collective success as a single homogenous people like Japan or Switzerland.
Or equally, but with more difficulty, nations can prosper with heterodox peoples—but only if united by a single, inclusive culture as the American melting-pot once attested.
But a baleful third option—a multicultural society of diverse, unassimilated, and often rival tribes—historically is a prescription for collective suicide.
We are beginning to see just that in America, as it sheds the melting pot, and adopts the salad bowl of unassimilated and warring tribes.
The U.S. is now seeing a rise in violent racially and religiously motivated hate crimes.
The border is nonexistent.
Millions of unlawful immigrants mock their hosts by their brazen illegal entrance.
They will receive little civic education to become Americans. But they will learn that unassimilated tribalism wins them influence and advantages.
In contrast, America was once a rare historical example of a multiracial, but single-culture democracy that actually worked.
Multigenerational Americans were often energized by keeping up with new hard-working immigrants determined to have a shot at success in a free society long denied them at home.
Other large nations have tried such a democratic multiracial experiment—most notably Brazil and India. But both are still plagued by tribal feuding and serial violence.
What once worked for America, but now is forgotten were a few precepts essential for a multiracial constitutional state wedded to generous immigration.
One, America is enriched at its cultural periphery by the food, fashion, art, music, and literature of immigrants.
But it would be destroyed if such diversity extended to its core. No one wants Middle-East norms regarding gays or emancipated women.
No one prefers Mexican jurisprudence to our courts.
No one here wants the dictatorship of Venezuela or the totalitarianism of communist China.
Two, people vote with their feet to emigrate to America. They flee their native culture and government to enjoy their antitheses in America.
But remember—no sane immigrant would flee Mexico, Gaza, or Zimbabwe only to wish to implant in their new homes the very culture and norms that drove them out from their old.
If they did that to their new home, it would then become as unattractive to them as what they fled.
Three, tribalism wrecks nations.
Just compare what happened in Rwanda, the former Yugoslavia, or Iraq.
Anytime one ethnic, racial, or religious group refuses to surrender its prime identity in exchange for a shared sense of self, other tribes for their own survival will do the same.
All then rebrand their superficial appearance as essential not incidental to whom they are.
And like nuclear proliferation that sees other nations go nuclear once a neighboring power gains the bomb, so too the tribalism of one group inevitably leads only to more tribalism of others. The result is endless Hobbesian strife.
Four, immigration must be measured, so that newcomers can be manageably assimilated and integrated rather than left to form rival tribal cliques.
Five, it must be legal. Otherwise, the idea of citizenship is reduced to mere residency, while the legal applicant is rendered a fool for his adherence to the law.
Six, it must be meritocratic, so immigrants come with English and skills and do not burden their hosts.
And last, it must be diverse. Only that way, can all groups abroad have equal access to the American dream.
A diversity of immigrants also ensures that no one particular ethnic or political tribe seeks to use immigration to further divide the nation.
In sum, the old immigration once enriched America, but our new version is destroying it.

Look at that photo, I don’t see any scientists or engineers among them. Just think, Biden allowed 6.2 million to come here since he took office, and you can expect another two million by January 2025. Then count about one million who come here legally every year. When the 2030 census is taken, the European people in America will be a minority. I’m estimating the number will be between 48.5% and 49.5% . I don’t see any chance of a major change in the immigration policies between now and 2030.

Even if you were to stop all immigration, even if no immigration at all had ever existed, America and the West would still be destroying themselves.
How much third world immigration was there in Germany in the 192os and 30s? Probably almost none but Germany destroyed itself with Nazism.
In the 1930s America was 90% white and Christian, with severe limitations on immigration, but those white Christians voted for FDR’s welfare state four times. The welfare state is the beginning of full-blown socialism.

Just wanted to let you know that Nazism did not destroy Germany it was the U.S., England, France, and Russia that destroyed Germany. I like to bring to your attention that Germany did not start World War II.
Churchill said in 1936 that Germany must be destroyed because it was becoming strong again. The U.S. started the war with Germany on September 12, 1941 before the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
You should be aware that England and France did not declare war on Russia when they invaded Poland in September 1939. Why is that? They only declared war on Germany. Remember, Germany and Russia each occupied a part of Poland. You should also be aware that Russia was planning to invade the rest of Europe when Germany, France, and England were exhausted fighting each other. Russia was moving ten of thousands of Russian troops into Poland as a staging area for the future conquest of Europe. All of Europe would be under Communist control. Of course, Germany realizing what the future would hold for them, decided to invade them first. Just a few facts that history books may have overlooked.
You also might like to know Germany did not start World War I either. It would be nice, if our schools would teach the truth about these two World Wars and how they really got started. Examine all the documents and secret talks and meetings that led up to these two World Wars.

It’s been said that for a person whose only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Meaning no disrespect, I wonder if you’ve ever attempted to shed your obsession with Ayn Rand for even a moment, to truly open your mind, and to honestly examine the contents of your toolbox. Were you to do so, I suspect it would soon dawn on you that you’ve become an Objectivist ideologue. This limitation has so impaired your moral vision that you’ve totally lost your ability to see the forest for the trees. My guess is that this affliction of your heart and mind developed insidiously as a result of your infection by Rand’s godless doctrine.
By way of full disclosure, I have always admired this remarkable woman’s rejection of communism in particular and collectivism in general. However, I have always sensed there was something Satanic about her rejection of human charity and celebration of selfishness as the ultimate virtue. The more I thought about her intense, reflexive hostility to religion and traditional morality, the more I realized that the parroted views of her idolatrous followers would have served the totalitarian proponents of the atheistic French, Bolshevik and Maoist Revolutions while opposing the pro-liberty, religion-affirming authors of the American Revolution. I am certain you would not personally ally yourself with the former in opposition to the latter. Nonetheless, this is the perverse, unintended consequence of your espoused ideology. Please know that I am praying for your recovery from the Rand infection in the certainty that, with God, all things are possible.
Some migrants move to new places and build great civilizations. Others move to destroy it all.
Know the difference.
The Romans allowed their own civilization to die, because in part, they had stopped reproducing. Rodney Stark notes that only a small percentage of Roman families allowed more than one or two daughters to live to adulthood. The preference for sons caused them to kill by exposure or abortion (yes, Ancient Rome had abortion) far too many girls and the native Romans became so scarce that they couldn’t replenish their population … or their legions.
Rome also had depopulation caused by disease in the 3rd-4th centuries. A warming period allowed malaria mosquitoes from Africa to reach the marshes near Rome. Later there was some other plague. Rome needed laborers and soldiers, especially since soldier pay did not keep up with inflation. Foreigners came in then. Later they came as whole tribes.

Few of the many millions of our current invaders are “sane” in this way. They love their culture and wish to establish it here where policy and legal redistribution of citizen wealth are highly skewed in their favor.
Open borders and welfare cannot benefit the country.
No sane person would replicate Gaza or Somalia here? This doesn’t speak well of the mental health

The purpose of immigration since repeal of the National Origins Act in 1965 is the destruction of the nation and making Democrats the permanent governing party. Immigration today is anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-Western Civilization & hates the Anglo-American culture.

If immigration is “legal” and “meritocratic,” why must it be “diverse? Mr. Hansen says, “so all groups abroad have equal access to the American dream.” Implicit in this statement is the soft racism that diverse populations are unqualified by merit.
Diversity cannot be the means of “equal access” to success in a meritocratic society. It is either merit or it is your skin color. It cannot be both. Access to any field of endeavor should require an aptitude for the work. These under qualified diverse pilots and air traffic controllers are causing more and more incidents at our airports.
When black people succeed by their brains and sweat, their accomplishments are lessened by diversity quotas and “affirmative action” policies.

If that is not what they come here for then there is no place for them in America.
The biggest difference between the America of my childhood in the 1950s and today’s America is that, whereas only criminals feared the government in that earlier, more innocent time, pretty much only law-abiding citizens fear it now. This socially-engineered inversion of the rule of law was accomplished by freedom-hating globalists who infested the federal government and weaponized its departments and agencies against liberty-loving patriots during the past half-century. These wannabe dictators have fundamentally transformed our nation from a “free society” as defined by the late Soviet dissident Natan Sharansky into a nascent police state. Unless they are removed from positions of power and their self-destructive policies are reversed, our constitutional republic will soon become a godless, joyless, totalitarian dystopia (ref. www.newguardsforliberty.com).
Plus the fact that the US went from being 90% white to 55% white in just 60 years.
