[](/sites/default/files/uploads/2015/01/obama-israel.jpg)With the Israeli election in March, it didn’t take long for the Obama Administration to interfere in Israel’s democratic elections. While the American government stood on the side as 40 world leaders, walked arm in arm through the streets of Paris to rally for freedom, and to honor the 17 victims of recent terror attacks in France, decency would have dictated that the administration stay silent during the upcoming elections.
Of course, decency is something which has been lacking throughout the Obama administration. While there is no question that a right-wing government would not be U.S. President Barack Obama’s choice, his office criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for speaking to Congress about the importance of using Congressional sanctions to prevent Iran from receiving nuclear weapons.
America has regularly interfered in Israel’s elections – to wit:
On nearly every occasion, American intervention in Israel has backfired – as some have speculated this election as well it will. Obama has been no friend of Israel.
The words of the great, late Prime Minister Menachem Begin ring loudly when he told the United States ambassador to Israel that “Israel was (and is) no “vassal state” or a “banana republic.”
If America was quiet about Islamic terror in France, America should also be quiet about the democratic elections in Israel.
