Bad news for Barack. And for the media.
Despite the hate campaign against President Trump, he’s actually admired by much of the country.
Americans are most likely to name President Donald Trump and Michelle Obama as most admired man and woman in 2020. Trump tied former President Barack Obama for the honor last year but edged out his predecessor this year. Trump’s first-place finish ends a 12-year run as most admired man for Obama, tied with Dwight Eisenhower for the most ever.
That’s largely due to a decline in support for Obama… from Democrats.
Obama is the top choice among Democrats, at 32%, but that is down from 41% last year.
Some of that due is to a rise in support for Biden, but Obama’s senile-me scores fairly low.
President-elect Joe Biden (13%) is also commonly named by Democrats.
That 13% number says it all. Biden is at 6% among Americans in general. Hell of a mandate there.
Obama’s decline in support isn’t really good news. What it means is that Obama is seen as insufficently radical by a lot of lefties. The young red of yesteryear is making way for a new generation of radicals as the revolution eats its own. Just ask Dianne Feinstein or Nancy Pelosi. This is no country for old radicals. Not even if they’re only half white.
Bernie Sanders only comes in at 1%. That’s fitting as he’s now a member of the 1%.
