Joe Biden attacked President Donald Trump on Saturday over a report that he said, if true, contains a “truly shocking revelation” about the commander in chief and his failure to protect U.S. troops in Afghanistan and stand up to Russia.

The New York Times reported Friday that American intelligence officials concluded months ago that a Russian military intelligence unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The report said the Russians offered rewards for successful attacks last year, at a time when the U.S. and Taliban were holding talks to end the long-running war.

“The truly shocking revelation that if the Times report is true, and I emphasize that again, is that President Trump, the commander in chief of American troops serving in a dangerous theater of war, has known about this for months, according to the Times, and done worse than nothing,” Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, said during a virtual town hall.

The Russians have been doing this sort of thing for generations. And the Iranians have been doing this in Afghanistan on a massive scale. Biden, after 9/11, proposed sending a $100 million check to Iran.

The same Democrat-media establishment which was outraged when Trump took out Soleimani is complaining about a lack of action.

And then there’s Iran’s ties to Al Qaeda.

And that goes without saying about Iran’s seeding of IEDs in Iraq and the US death toll attributed to Iran.

The Pentagon is upping the official estimate on the number of U.S. troops in Iraq who were killed by Iranian-backed militias, now putting that number at at least 603.

Officials previously said that Iran was linked to the deaths of roughly 500 troops.

That means roughly one in every six American combat fatalities in Iraq were attributable to Iran.

But sure, now the Democrats will pretend to care for 5 minutes because the Russians are involved.
