It’s a hard day for supporters of Israel and opponents of Islamic terrorism. It’s a good day for Islamic terrorists, for JVP, If Not Now, J Street, T’ruah and other anti-Israel hate groups.
Ari Fuld was a passionate pro-Israel activist. His death leaves a great void.
Ari Fuld, a resident of Efrat, father of four, was murdered on Sunday morning at the Gush Etzion Junction. A sergeant in an IDF reserves elite paratroopers unit and assistant director of Standing Together, an organization that supports IDF soldiers, Fuld was a tireless advocate for Israel, appearing in communities around the world, and hosting several TV shows, including his signature live broadcast on Facebook.
“I fight anti Israel propaganda and expose those who spread it,” Fuld described himself on Facebook. “I will give the facts to defend Israel and to destroy those who lie and fabricate history.”
But even stabbed in the back, he fought back. As Israelis and Americans continue to be stabbed in the back by Islamic terrorists and their supporters, we too must continue to fight back.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu eulogized Ari Fuld Sunday afternoon, hours after the American immigrant to Israel was stabbed to death by an Arab terrorist outside of a shopping center in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem.
Fuld, a 45-year-old father of four from the Gush Etzion town of Efrat, was critically wounded Sunday morning after a 17-year-old Arab terrorist from the Hevron district stabbed him in the back.
While Fuld managed to draw his firearm and shoot the terrorist before collapsing, he later succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Prime Minister Netanyahu lauded Fuld, a pro-Israel activist and member of the Efrat rapid response team, calling him an “advocate for Israel”.
“In the name of every citizen of Israel, I send my condolences to the family of Ari Fuld, who was murdered today in a terrorist attack in Gush Etzion,” Netanyahu wrote in a Facebook post Sunday.
“With his last strength, Ari fought heroically against the terrorist and prevented a greater tragedy. Ari was a wonderful father to four children. He was an advocate for Israel who fought to spread the truth about Israel. May his memory be a blessing.”
US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman issued a condemnation of the attack Sunday, and called Fuld an “American patriot”.
“America grieves as one of its citizens was brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist,” Friedman tweeted Sunday.
“Ari Fuld was a passionate defender of Israel & an American patriot. He represented the best of both countries & will be deeply missed. May his family be comforted & his memory be blessed.”
Minister of Education and Chairman of the Jewish Home political party, Naftali Bennett responded to the news news of the murder of Ari Fuld in the stabbing terror attack at the Gush Etzion Junction: “Ari Fuld, is a hero of Israel. In his death, he saved lives.”
“Ari Fuld, of blessed memory, was murdered today in a stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion Junction, and he didn’t stop until he neutralized the terrorist.
“Stabbed in the back he ran, pulled out a gun and fired before he collapsed, anything so that the terrorist did not continue to hurt others.”
Retired British Army officer and counter-terror expert Richard J. Kemp also took to twitter Sunday following Fuld’s murder, saying Fuld had been a “soldier to the last”.
“Very sorry to hear that my friend and IDF Paratrooper Ari Fuld was murdered today in Gush Etzion. A soldier to the last he shot the Islamic terrorist that stabbed him in the back before succumbing to his wounds.”
There’s more here from one of Ari’s friends.
It started after the Second Lebanon War.
During the war, Ari’s commander ordered him to go rescue his fellow soldiers who were under fire – and Ari ran right into the line of fire and rescued them.
When he got back, he laid back down again in his position and noticed everything was soaking wet. Right after he had gotten up, a mortar fragment landed exactly where he had been laying moments before, puncturing his water bags and equipment.
If Ari hadn’t gotten up to save his fellow soldiers he would never have returned home. That mortar fragment sits on his living room shelf.
From that day on, Ari dedicated his life even more to teaching and defending the Jewish people though social media, speeches, seminars and debates, as well as by raising money for IDF soldiers.
On Thursday nights you’d find him giving virtual tours in the Old City of Jerusalem. Often he would find some random people and drive them down to Hebron for an inspiring and educational tour in the middle of the night. Because that’s simply something Ari did.
For me, Ari is an inspiration. He was invincible. You knew that entering a room with him, no matter how many terrorists might be around the corner, you were going to be safe, because Ari was with you and he always knew what to do.
Ari was a pillar. A rock.
Ari Fuld never stopped standing up to Islamic terrorists and the anti-Israel left. Even in death.
uld described a typical encounterhe had had in the Machane Yehuda shuk in late June, 2018, when he heard some Americans saying to each other, “Find the American students, we are looking for Birthright participants.”
“I turned around to see 3 Americans with pink shirts on that say All That’s Left and on the back side, Stop the occupation!”
In his encounter with the three anti-Zionist activists, their leader admitted he did not live in Israel and could not answer a single historic question about his ideology pertaining to the “Occupation of Palestine.”
“When did Israel occupy ‘Palestine?’ … From whom? When did it exist?” Fuld demanded
The occupiers are the ones who stabbed Ari Fuld, and who helped finance his murder. Every dollar given to the PLO is fungible money that risks being diverted to fund terrorist acts like these. Even as the Trump administration is cutting ties with the PLO, the left and its Democrat allies are doubling down on evil. The blood of Ari and countless other terror victims is on their dirty progressive hands.
