What if you come home and find strangers living in your house?
I assumed you order the squatters out, and if they resist, call the police, and they will kick them out.
Wrong.
Pro-tenant laws passed by anti-capitalist politicians now protect squatters. If a squatter just lies about having a lease, the police won’t intervene.
“It’s a civil matter,” they’ll say. “Sort it out in court.”
Great. Court might cost $20,000. Or more. And courts are so slow, eviction might take years.
In my state, New York, homeowners can’t even shut of utilities to try to get the squatter out. That’s illegal. Worse, once a squatter has been there 30 days, they are legally considered a tenant.
This month, NYC police arrested a homeowner for “unlawful eviction” after she changed locks, trying to get rid a squatter.
“Squatter rights,” also known as “adverse possession” laws, now exist in all 50 states. As a result, evicting a squatter legally is so expensive and cumbersome that some people simply walk away from their homes!
Flash Shelton may have a better idea.
His mom wanted to sell their house after his dad died. But while they were selling it, squatters moved in.
Shelton did what I would have done — called the police. But the police said there was nothing they could do.
So he tried a new tactic: out-squat the squatter.
“I just felt, if they can take a house, I can take a house,” Shelton says in my new video. “I could go in as the squatter myself, (and) gain possession of the property.”
When the home invader left for a few hours, Shelton went in and changed the locks. Only then did the squatters leave.
Now Shelton’s started a business, SquatterHunters.com, where he tries to help others get their houses back.
“People think of squatters as homeless, destitute,” I say.
“They are not homeless,” answers Shelton. “They’re criminals … people taking advantage of the system.
In fact, one squatter he pushed out was Adam Fleischman, who started the Umami Burger restaurant chain. Fleischman told Shelton, “I’m a victim here.” He even called the cops.
“He felt that since he had possession of the house,” says Shelton, “That he had the right to call law enforcement and have me removed.”
I tried to reach Fleischman to hear his side of the story. No luck.
“Where does he hear that he has this right to squat?” I ask Shelton.
“The city was telling him this,” says Shelton.
But now Shelton was a squatter, too, so he was protected by the same pro-“tenant” law.
Still, only when Shelton threatened to bring friends to the house as backup did Adam Fleischman leave.
In Los Angeles, a woman claimed to be a “caretaker” for an elderly homeowner, who said she didn’t want the woman in her home. So, she gave Shelton a lease. While the squatter was out, Shelton changed the locks.
“But the squatter is still there?” I ask Shelton.
“Still there,” he says, “Climbing through the window because she doesn’t have access to the main house.”
She’s now been there for two years!
Shelton says his team will move in and get rid of the squatter.
“How do you know that will work?” I ask.
“Because once I take possession,” says Shelton, “Then she’ll have to fight in court to try to get back in. Most likely she won’t do that.”
Why do squatters feel entitled to other people’s property?
Probably because people hate landlords. They listen to silly people like Marxist New School professor Miguel Robles-Duran, who calls landlords “parasites” who “provide no social value.” Popular TikTok socialist Madeline Pendleton adds that landlords have “guaranteed forever incomes, without having to put in any labor.”
No labor? Who does she think buys the land; pays lawyers to decipher the excessive regulations; hires architects, carpenters, plumbers and electricians; pays the taxes; manages the property, etc.?
It’s infuriating!
I’m glad people like Flash Shelton fight back.

If I ever come home to find squatters, they’ll soon realize they made a life ending decision.
I call it the Nethercott Protocol.
Rancher Nethercott, instead of shooting two illegals trespassing on his land, turned ’em over to authorities.
For showing such restraint, he was rewarded by having a chickenshit activist judge confiscate his ranch and turn it over to the illegals as restitution.
Had Nethercott simply shot the pricks & dumped ’em in the Rio Grande, he’d still have his home + the added refinement of sending a veiled message to other invaders – Don’t Tread on Us!
I will guarantee that in the event of an unwarranted, unwelcome invasion of my private property by a “squatter” the individuals concerned will be out in the street, OFF my property. This will recur until the necessity is no longer.
There’s no conceivable way I will allow an arbitrary invasion onto my domain by someone with no right.
So the homeowner can’t shut off the utilities? What if he just DOESN’T PAY FOR THEM? The squatter claims to have a lease? Most leases REQUIRE the tenant to pay for the utilities. Can the homeowner say to the squatter “You live there. You pay the gas and electric bills.?” Where is the homeowner supposed to live, when his house is taken over by squatters?
We are supposed to share. The those who do not have are more important than we who work and save for what we own.
More to the point, what is the homeowner supposed to do when all of his possessions have been seized by the squatter? What can he wear? What about his prescription medications? How can he access his bank accounts when his computer is inaccessible? What about valuables, including family heirlooms? Are they stolen and sold by the squatter? And for Heaven’s sake, what about his old photographs? This is a pretty invasive and obnoxious practice and it needs to be nipped in the bud before it becomes even more widespread.
Two crimes have occurred Burglary, and trespassing.. They don’t magically become not crimes because someone claims squatters “ rights”. Squatters rights laws don’t negate the crim. A “ squatter” needs to be physically arrested and charged with both.
add a third crime to the list – vandalism – the squatter had to break a window or door in order to enter the property.
Even easier – call it “domestic violence” and have them arrested. A DV charge will usually result in the offender – ok, ALLEGED offender – being ejected from the house.
Letting squatters takeover your home and evicting long time residents to make way for Migrants should be considered a act of Treason giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy

According the bill analysis, it will create criminal penalties for violators, including:
A first-degree misdemeanor for making a false statement in writing to obtain real property or for knowingly and willfully presenting a falsified document conveying property rights.
A second-degree felony for any person who unlawfully occupies or trespasses in a residential dwelling and who intentionally causes $1,000 or more in damages.
A first-degree felony for knowingly advertising the sale or rent of a residential property without legal authority or ownership.

G0d bless Ron DeSantis. An awful lot of Democrats and illegals in Florida will do whatever they can to rid themselves of this law-abiding governor. The law-abiding citizens will have to stay awake to protect him.
Obviously, some of us have become way too stupid to figure out what is going on here. Passing “Laws” to give squatters more rights that American Citizen Homeowners (a dying breed) is nothing short of a Communist battle plan. We now have Millions of “Newcomers”, which, under the Standard Communist Constitution (as the Constitution of the USSR) GIVES (by the Government, NOT GOD) the right to a Home, a Job, Food, Free Health Care, TO EACH according to their needs. These “Newcomers” WILL NEED to be housed and fed, and our SOON TO BE COMMUNIST ACTUALLY, not just in theory Government, will see to it. Homeless Vets can just suck it up, they fought to defend the U.S. Constitution, erased from history. It has become dangerous to support and defend the U.S. Constitution any more – no one wants THAT on their record when the dictators of the proletariat take over, so obviously, this won’t pass muster for posting. But my opinion is expressed. As to the “squatters”, break your door down and change the locks the minute they go out, and when they break in on the way back, use the Second Amendment. That’s what it’s for, among other things! SHOOT! THEM! It’s self defense when someone tries to break in! (And don’t wonder too hard about the three or four divisions of Chinese men of Military age in the country, I’m SURE they’re not really “On Duty” CCP Red Army regulars!!)

The reason we Americans are being taken advantage of by everyone is because we are not standing up for ourselves (because they can). We follow the law and do everything legal, but nobody else does including the government. IF this kind of stuff happened to anyone else they would be screaming bloody murder and band together and take care of the problem themselves no matter what anybody says or does period!!! I had a friend who had major problems with – in his case – legitimate tenants. So he stopped paying the mortgage, and, when the bailiffs saw the tenants off the property, he met them with a cheque for the outstanding debt and the price of a drink. Only works for people who have a mortgage of course.
When I was living in Las Vegas Nevada as a 20 something in the mid-1970s, I lived with my wife and a friend in a drafty old top floor of a house. One winter, the hot water heater went out, then the heat went out. The landlord was dragging her feet about fixing things. We found if we suspended rent, the Las Vegas Sheriff would be over in 3 days to put our stuff on the street.
Thanks to Neo-Marxists infiltrated into local and State governments across the country, we have gone from 100% protection for property owners, to 0% protection.
In the mindset of Marxists, “property is theft”. That is, the property of someone else.

Property rights, as we know it) are scorned as “bourgeois” concepts. In the class warfare waged by the Left, the bourgeoisie are to be crushed by the elite class (Marxists). So, confiscating one of the most cherished rights, property, is a virtue, Those who built, saved, invested and took risks to improve themselves and others materially, are viewed as parasites..
What we have with the Marxist is a kind of despotic mindset different from the racist (some are racists too) only in that the Marxist regards class as the determining factor in life, while the racist holds race as such.
I know of two great men that would get squatters out of my home, a Mr Smith and Mr Weston.

As a cop of 30+ years, I saw this squatter crap frequently in my sh*thole liberal state, I have nothing but sympathy for the landlords.
NEVER allow anyone, including a family member to move in with with you. Once they park their underwear in a drawer, keep a toothbrush in the bathroom, or receive a piece of mail, YOU ARE SCREWED!
Now FJB has welcomed millions of illiterate squatters into America. We’ll never get rid of them.
