Sorry conservatives, you think you’re oppressed just because you’re censored and demonized for being in the political opposition.
Senator Kamala Harris not only survived life in segregated Berkeley, but is now the subject of an insufficently flattering Vogue cover. That’s right, the tongue bath dispensed to her by the fashion mag was not flattering enough because even though it put her on the cover… it wasn’t the right cover.
That’s racist!
This is not the first time Vogue has come under fire for the way it has photographed people of color. The magazine’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour said admitted as much during the summer of 2020 saying in a company-wide internal memo, “I want to say plainly that I know Vogue has not found enough ways to elevate and give space to black editors, writers, photographers, designers and other creators.”
Except that the photos were taken by a black photographer. Despite that the usual blue checkmarks for social justice shrieked that the cover was racist because racism is an unfalsifiable hypothesis and even a photo taken by a black photographer must be deemed racist.
Since we didn’t want to run the risk of featuring an unflattering photo of Senator Harris and contributing further to her lifetime of oppression as a wealthy socialite and politician living in Brentwood, here’s a picture of Garfield.
When you look at this picture of Garfield, weep for the suffering that Senator Harris continues to endure in this systematically racist nation.
