Resigning to spend more time with your family isn’t exactly an option for Rep. Katie Hill. Maybe the scandal-ridden politician can resign to spend more time exploiting the homeless?
Instead Rep. Hill’s statement fails to actually apologize for her behavior, but does blame political operatives and everybody else for her actions. If you can’t tell Hill is a narcissistic millennial, one line from her resignation statement sums it up.
“I am learning I am not a perfect person and never pretended to be,” Hill said.
You had to grow up on a steady diet of Oprah for that line to make any sense.
The real blame goes to Speaker Pelosi, fighting to protect her fragile majority, who had no intention of losing it to Hill’s antics, and accused her of, “errors in judgment that made her continued service as a Member untenable.”
Rep. Hill had defeated a Republican, and Pelosi wants to protect that gain, instead of having Hill defend her behavior on the campaign trail.
