Sacramento just got done passing a resolution demanding that Israel stop attacking Hamas by an almost overwhelming margin (with the exception of the lone Jewish councilwoman) so now it’s time to get even edgier.
Sanctuary cities for illegal alien invasions are old news. But what about a sanctuary city for mutilating kids?
The Sacramento City Council will Tuesday consider making Sacramento a sanctuary city for transgender people.
The resolution, proposed by Councilwoman Katie Valenzuela, would bar city staff — including officers and contractors — from detaining people for seeking or providing gender-affirming health care. It would also bar the city from cooperating with out-of-state jurisdictions that are criminalizing gender-affirming care.
No one criminalizes adults seeking to have their own genitals cut off. California, like the administration, has turned it into a taxpayer-subsidized mandate.
And no Republican state criminalizes adults getting themselves mutilated either. There are only restrictions on children being mutilated before the age of consent. And the only conceivable scenario where out-of-state prosecutions would come into play is some form of child endangerment.
So really, Sacramento is trying to become a sanctuary city for adults mutilating kids, perhaps against the wishes of a custodial parent and certainly state law. So a sanctuary city for child abusers.
At this rate, the only logical next step is making Sacramento a sanctuary city for pedophiles.

i was told the chp no longer confiscate vehicles failing to have the minimum liability insurance required by law. evidently a majority of traffic stops are people with no license and no insurance. enforcing the law was overwhelming the system. it appears to me the area is heading towards a lawless state, with a majority of the population being aware of the lawless condition and a minority still obeying the old rule. similarly, the plight of parents in the area utilizing the public school system is becoming a legal contract to forego all parent rights. now the protections for women and children are further eroded by a forced acceptance of the modern psycho/medical constructs of gender affirming care. shouldn’t the experts have completed animal trials first? what happens when you remove the penis from a chimp and place him back in chimp society? Or would that be animal cruelty? what happens when you begin giving a chimp hormones to change his sex, all while interacting in chimp society. more animal cruelty? the expert class in all subjects is gone . its time to stop living in automatic mode and begin to make some conscious decisions for self preservation.
Good analysis. California is becoming a lawless state, in part due to a vast number of laws not being enforced, due to overloading the systems, etc.
Thanks. You provided a unique comment and a very valid point regarding human experimentation. In the 20th century, ethics and rules on human experimentation evolved. There are US laws and accepted. international agreements with a long history of development from disgust at Nazi experiments and other misdeeds to today’s processes. . One cannot involve human beings in even a seemingly harmless student experiment without approval from a formal institutional board, an “IRB.” In medicine, these are very serious reviews. Were there IRB reviews of these sex change surgeries, especially if involving children, at the institutions doing them? If so, there should be documentation. If not, why not?
If Sacramento is allowed to do this it will open the door to making our world more accepting to this wrong thought pattern. There are only 2 genders! We must not let this become considered a normal thing! God help us! I am so concerned about what kind of society my 15 grandchildren will have to grow up in!
