Salman Rushdie was a longtime opponent of Israel. Despite being targeted by Iran for The Satanic Verses, a book that the Islamic revolutionary regime deemed blasphemous and being sold out by fellow leftists for “provoking” Muslims, the Pakistani ex-Muslims opposed the Jewish State and supported the terrorist cause.
Now in an interview with Bild, a German publication, Rushdie, who suffered a Muslim terrorist attack in America (funny how quickly the media moved on from that) that left him without one eye, had some thoughts on the Hamas campus riots.
“The fact is that any normal person can only be shocked by what is happening in Gaza right now, by the level of innocent deaths,” Rushdie says very clearly. And adds what bothers him: “But I think the demonstrators could also mention Hamas. Because it all started with them. And Hamas is a terrorist organization. And it’s strange that a young progressive student politician supports a fascist terrorist group, because in a way they do.”
“They demand free Palestine – liberate Palestine. “I have been in favor of a separate Palestinian state most of my life,” explains Rushdie. “But if there were a Palestinian state now, it would be run by Hamas and we would have a Taliban-like state. A satellite state of Iran. Is this what the progressive movements of the Western Left want to create?”
Obviously, the answer is that they do.
It’s striking that Rushdie has to be the one to make this point. Again, he’s a longtime opponent of Israel. And yet it falls to him to state that any current ‘Palestinian’ state would be Hamas.
The Hamas flags at rallies and protests and the defenses of Hamas atrocities, both overt (easily found on social media) and by omission (the media’s refusal to discuss Hamas) make it all too obvious that the ideological ground is being prepared for just that outcome.
Rushdie claims that it’s strange, but he’s had more than enough experience with Western liberals playing the same game with him and Iran. At some point it’s not “strange”, it’s an admission of complicity.

Rushdie is a good example of the Maxim: always beware of a Muslim with a knife. I was surprised he didn’t have better security, even after all these years.
Bernard Lewis wrote a book “Assassins” about the Muslim sect of assassins. Shows the lengths Muslims will go to to stick a knife in their targets.
Jeff Bargholz says
Bernard Lewis was a great scholar. He died recently but he was 101 years old so he had a very good run. Better than I’m likely to have, that’s for sure. Not with my dissipated lifestyle.
I’ve always wondered about the assassins smoking hashish, though. “Hash” as we called it when I was young. It’s supposed to be a condensed and more potent version of marijuana but I can cite from personal experience that the MJ from Northern California is much more potent. MUCH more.
Put pot isn’t a great motivator and doesn’t cause violent impulses. Why get assassins to smoke it? That seems counter productive.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Yeah, I don’t remember what they were really smoking, I tried to research it on line, looks like there was some mixup in translation or something a couple centuries ago and it wasn’t hash.
Jeff Bargholz says
That makes sense.
The jihadis in Gaza and other islamic shitholes take some type of ultra potent amphetamine called Captigon, which really jacks them up.
I mean, please. Smoking hash or pot and going on murder sprees? You can barely order a delivery pizza when you’re high on that stuff. My girlfriend and me just loll around like seals out of water when she has me smoke that stuff. The sex is great, though.

It’s as clear as the facelift on Biden‘s face… it’s amazing with all the terrorist activity in the world how a Democrat media calls campus funded uprising mostly peaceful protest.. As your article succinctly points out The vicious left is actually calling for a terrorist satellite of Iran, run my fascist Hamas . Unfortunately, now when Rushdie speaks Hardly anyone listens.. a long way from the Clinton White House. Where he was given Harbor for his anti-Israel stances..

Whoops a big (gasp) not my F HAM,,,,, BUT THE F HAMM… my mistake
Nicolas Carras says
Anyone supporting Hamas in the West must be tried, convicted and imprisoned. We must apply zero tolerance and make examples.
Let all the little fascist students understand that they are in the free world and that freedom has been dearly paid for.
How many deaths? How much suffering? How many lives were sacrificed? How many mothers have cried for their sons?

Zheesh.
He wants ‘student politicians’ to distinguish between Hamas hatred of Israel and ‘Palestinian’ hatred of Israel. But is he really saying there’s a difference? I don’t think so. He knows that fake ‘Palestine’ can’t exist without Hamas; ‘Palestine‘ is Hamas.
But he’ll never admit that.
Only ‘the son of Hamas’ will.

People do not understand, even the educated political types. It is not ‘Islamism’, it is not about race or territory, it is about Islam. What did Muhammad say? “Kill the infidels where you find them”. Was he kidding? No. When the Arabs first took the Near East, they weren’t numerous enough to kill everyone, so they had the infidels pay the tax, and waited for everyone to convert. Today they are killing the infidels, all of them, in the Middle East and in Africa. In Europe they are out-breeding the infidels. 30 years ago, did you ever think the number one baby name in London would be Muhammad? The dar-al-harb will become the dar-al-islam unless people wake up fast.

When I hear people refer to the “innocent civilians” in Gaza, I remember an exhibition of Iranian children’s books I saw at the Iranian embassy in Harare many years ago. Some of these books—proudly displayed by the staff—depicted and celebrated 7-year-old children blowing themselves up in order to take a few Jews with them. In such a culture who, exactly, is innocent?
