Two years too late, Hulu dumped Sarah Silverman’s desperate effort to jump on the lefty chat show bandwagon that everyone, beginning with Jon Stewart, had beaten into the ground. If not for Peak TV, I Love You, America, would never have existed.
And even Hulu, in its sordid desperation for original content not made by Brazilian child laborers, could only keep it going for 2 years.
Part of the problem was too much anti-Trump content chasing too few anti-Trump eyeballs. The Jon Stewart market was already overcrowded and Silverman had beaten her tedious shtick into the ground two decades ago. What was shocking then, isn’t shocking now.
Not when the mainstream media runs most of the same content or at least cheers it on.
