Americans and Israelis tend to suffer from ‘delusions of diplomacy’ when it comes to the Muslim world.
Some Israelis in particular have the conviction that because they have back channels to Muslim nations and private talks with them that they’re on track to a better relationship. A few months earlier there was a lot of happy talk about the growing relationship with Erdogan’s Turkey, and of course the conviction of normalization with Saudi Arabia.
Sorry, no. Here’s the bad news direct from Al-Arabiya.
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged all nations during an extraordinary BRICS summit on Tuesday to cease weapon exports to Israel.
MBS reiterated the Kingdom’s rejection of Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip and demanded an immediate halt to them.
He said that the “brutal crimes” unfolding in Gaza demand a collective effort to bring them to an end.
Insider types will rush to claim that there are mixed messages here. And yes there are. MBS is saying this at a BRICS summit. Who’s shipping weapons to Israel from BRICS nations? And the Al-Arabiya article, unusually, notes that the war began when Hamas massacred Israelis. For those who want to read angles into everything, they will anyway.
But it really is time for people to remember that Saudi Arabia isn’t Israel’s friend or America’s friend. A lesson we should have learned after 9/11.
Yes, MBS has made some reforms that bring the country a little more livable for younger Muslims of his generation. Mostly women. And guys who like to party.
The Abraham Accords, impressive as they are, are still based around an alliance against Iran in a region where everyone is simultaneously an ally and an enemy. I’ll take MBS over Qatar and Khashoggi’s handlers who’d like to go all-in on Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS, as the lesser of evils, but let’s not forget the big picture here.
The Saudis are not our friends and they will never be our friends. Buyer beware.

Wise words. It all comes down to the fact that no nation under the rule of Islam can be our friend, It’s part of the DNA of this ideology to betray.. even each other.
And yet.. the description of the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38) shows Sheba and Dedan (the ancient northern part of modern Saudi A) not participating in the invasion.

The depraved psychopathic murderous Saudi Royal Family Snake is not to be trusted … ever.
They will soon again show their poisonous fangs to Israel and America.

Releasing Hamas terrorists is not a good idea if one is dedicated to destroying them completely.
Bad decision.

Same delusions as with Hamas and not likely to change because they’re central to a worldview that believes the bad stuff is all in the past. It’s amazing how many held this view. Memory fades fast.

Each morning after 9/11, I’d head off to work as usual, listening to news radio. Every time that I’d make it to a particular traffic light (and, as if on cue) I’d hear a PSA from “Your friends in Saudi Arabia” and each time it made my blood boil.
Friends don’t have to advertise that they’re your friends.

No Muslim state is a friend of Jews or Israel. There should be no “embassies “ of these states in Israel as everything a muzlim owns is part of the Dar Al Islam, never to be relinquished. What is unbelievable is that Israelis don’t bother to educate themselves about islame, are they not curious as to why they behave this way? Especially those kibbutniks that live around Gaza. Have they become inured to constant attacks like punch drunk boxers? Also, they are divorced from the Torah which is very unfortunate but maybe this will be a wake up call. Not holding my breath however….

When a culture of love and life and kindness and honesty and friendship is pitted against a culture of power, death, deceit, hate and a total lack of human empathy who might win?
Only warriors who do not fear the public opinion of a corrupt lying cheating world can win.
How many Holocausts will it take? And where are the courageous heroes? I’m hoping one or two will appear.

Saudi Arabia has us over a barrel — more precisely, over barrels of oil. The US is producing oil at a rate never achieved in history but our addiction to oil still requires us to import over a half million barrels of oil a day from Saudi Arabia. The weaponization of cost push inflation for partisan purposes clearly showed that Americans will not pay enough for oil to allow the US, Canada, and Mexico to supply all that the US needs, as US and Canada oil costs much more to extract. And while it is quite technologically possible to wean ourselves from such dependence, the Right in the US is pushing back on what should be an obvious national security measure. It pushes the lie that we can drill our way out of this dilemma. There just isn’t enough oil left in the US that can be extracted at a reasonable cost.

A big favorite amongst Republican, including Pres. Reagan, is Prince Bandar. The late Arnaud DeBouchgrave referred to him as a James Bpnd type character; however, this “James Bond” character may have some very suspicious connections. Prince Bandar’s wife, Princess Haifa, gave money to one of the 9/11 hijackers. Coincidence? What are the odds?
The koranic verse that got me fired from my library job was sura 3:28. When I quoted Ibn Kathfir’s interpretation of that verse; e.g., “Though we smile at them, but in our hearts we curse them,” was enough to get me fired cultural revolution style from my library job (I was trying to alert a female as to what I thought was suspicious activity). Since I am an overly sensitive person, I did not handle it the best, but, at least, I didn’t turn to alcohol or drugs.

These scum are certainly not our friends or more specifically our allies. I would not be surprised to find they have a nuclear weapon.
