The first thing to understand about Secretary of State Blinken’s trip to Israel and the Middle East is that he has no idea what’s going on, like Biden he’s just the guy out front. Hady Amr, Qatar’s man and now Biden’s point man on “Israel-Palestine” is the guy pulling the strings.
“I was inspired by the Palestinian intifada,” Hady Amr wrote a year after September 11, discussing his work as the national coordinator of the anti-Israel Middle East Justice Network.
Biden has now chosen Amr as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israel-Palestine.
“I have news for every Israeli,” Amr ranted in one column written after Sheikh Salah Shahada, the head of Hamas’ Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, was taken out by an Israeli air strike.
Amr warned that Arabs “now have televisions, and they will never, never forget what the Israeli people, the Israeli military and Israeli democracy have done to Palestinian children. And there will be thousands who will seek to avenge these brutal murders of innocents.”
This trip has Amr’s fingerprints all over it. And you can see that in Amr, Blinken and Issa Amro posing together. And attending a joint meeting.
That’s this guy.
A few weeks before the three Israeli teens were abducted and murdered on June 12, 2014, Issa Amro announced on his Facebook page: “It is a real intifada in Hebron today, I think the third intifada is very close to start, we want it to be a smart intifada.”
Biden’s people apparently agree.
