This level of hypocrisy ought to be unsustainable and yet Democrat politicians and their media easily pivot from furiously scolding people for their selfishness as long as they gather for any other reason than a leftist rally or riot.
Even Burning Man isn’t exempt.
“Last night, over 1,000 people crowded on Ocean Beach to celebrate Burning Man. This was absolutely reckless & selfish. You are not celebrating. You are putting people’s lives at risk. You are putting our progress at risk. No one is immune from spreading the virus,” Mayor London Breed tweeted.
Unless, you know, they’re at a Black Lives Matter event.
Burning Man is stupid and its key demographic consists of lefties, but if you can gather in huge crowds for political reasons, you can gather in huge crowds to get high and set a statue on fire. And at least Burning Man sets their own statue on fire, instead of other people’s statues.
It’s impossible to take this self-righteous scolding seriously from the same politicians who take part in BLM events. All you can do is treat it and them with contempt.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed wasn’t mincing words when she addressed a group of George Floyd protesters Monday at City Hall.
“You know, my heart has been heavy,” she said to the crowd. “Yes, I’m the mayor, but I’m a black woman first.”
The mayor was joined by actor Jamie Foxx and other black community leaders at the kneel-in.
“You are putting people’s lives at risk. You are putting our progress at risk. No one is immune from spreading the virus,”
