[](/sites/default/files/uploads/2014/03/UN-Secretary-General-Ban-Ki-Moon-meets-with-PM-Netanyahu.jpg)My fellow Jews, rejoice. Our messiah is here – It is American Secretary of State John Kerry, who has proclaimed that Israel has nothing to worry about, for we can trust in the United Nations and the late Yasser Arafat.
Kerry has criticized Israel’s insistence that the Palestinians publicly declare Israel to be a Jewish state, as Kerry noted that the issue of a “’Jewish state’ was resolved in 1947 in (UN) Resolution 181 where there are more than 40-30 mentions of ‘Jewish state.‘” Luckily, Israel can listen to Kerry’s words and trust in United Nations resolutions.
As Kerry testified this week at a congressional hearing, ”In addition, Chairman Arafat in 1988 and again in 2004 confirmed that he agreed it would be a Jewish state. And there are any other number of mentions. I think it’s a mistake for some people to be raising it again and again as the critical decider of their attitude toward the possibility of a state and peace, and we’ve obviously made that clear.“
Of course, Kerry would have us believe that Israel should ignore all of Arafat’s other actions and comments, as well as Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas this week saying there are “attempts to extract recognition of the Jewishness of the State of Israel in order to erase Palestinian history and rights in one sentence.”
While Washington, DC disputes the Jewish right to Israel, Israel faces a barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip (which Israel voluntarily surrendered for peace only a few years ago). Previously, Kerry blackmailed Israel when he said “for Israel there is an increasing de-legitimization campaign that has been building up. People are very sensitive to it, there is talk of boycott and other kinds of things. Are we all going to be better with all of that?” In November, John Kerry asked, “I mean, does Israel want a third intifada?” Kerry said Israel’s “isolation” would be their own fault if a peace deal with the Palestinians falls through. Kerry further warned the Israelis that “the alternative to getting back to the talks is the potential of chaos.”
Add Kerry’s proclamations together, and one can venture he’s saying that boycotts and violence won’t happen – as long as Israel does not push on the declaration of a Jewish state. Of course, if Israel were to seek to exist then surely, all of the Middle East could sing kumbaya together, right Mr. Kerry?
Israel’s Defense Minister, Moshe Ya’alon had it right when he said last month of Kerry that “the American security plan that was presented to us is not worth the paper it was written on. It contains neither security nor peace. Only our continued presence in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan River will guarantee that Ben Gurion Airport and (the northern city of) Netanya do not become targets for missiles from every direction.” As Yediot Aharonot quoted Ya’alon, “In reality, there have been no negotiations between us and the Palestinians for all these months – but rather between us and the Americans.” He continued:
“Secretary of State John Kerry – who came here very determined, and operates based upon an unfathomable obsession and a messianic feeling – cannot teach me anything about the Palestinians.”
Given Kerry and Obama’s dismal record on foreign policy, there can be zero reason to trust them. In fact, if they say something, a wise man would instantly go the other way. From the Ukraine, to Libya (where an American ambassador was lynched), to Syria (where the death toll is up to 120,000), to Iran (where surely no bombs are being built), to countless other nations, the foreign policy of this administration has been simply awful. Naturally, no red lines were crossed.
Zionist prophet Ze’ev Jabotinsky proclaimed, “At the root of our 2000 years of suffering is our refusal to surrender.” Israel will not surrender here, as the people of Israel place trust in the Almighty and the Israeli army – not John Kerry, the UN or Arafat.
