Depressing, but all too real.

The people in the Border Patrol are good, but like all LEOs, they’re following orders. There’s an unrealistic expectation by conservatives that law enforcement personnel or other government workers are supposed to ignore orders being given by their superiors delivered by elected officials who won elections and follow “constitutional” orders. Barring a second revolution and civil war, that is not likely to happen in any large workforce. (Sheriffs can sometimes go their way.)

Border Patrol folks are good, but their orders from the Biden administration have made them into coyotes, enabling and transporting the illegal alien migrants. This is the result.

A shocking new video shows federal agents calmly unlocking gates at the border to let illegal immigrants stream into the US amid an alarming, record-breaking surge.

Drone video footage obtained by Fox News initially showed more than a dozen unsure-looking immigrants standing behind a locked gate on the Texas border.

Another clip then showed a Border Patrol agent calmly opening the gate, allowing a group of more than 25 border-crossers to stroll in — then locking the gate behind them again.

Texas’ tough Gov. Greg Abbott — who has been shipping border-crossers to Democrat-run safe-haven states and cities, including the Big Apple — was among those expressing outrage at the latest video.

“Unbelievable,” he tweeted. “While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration.

The Texas Guard had locked the gate while the Border Patrol unlocked it allowing more illegal migrants to flood into the country.

The Border Patrol at this point is doing far more harm than good. And there’s a serious argument for Texas going sanctuary and cutting off cooperation. Certainly the property owner in question here should deny the Border Patrol the right to operate.

What’s going on is a massive catch-and-release program. There’s no value to catching illegal aliens if you’re going to release them anyway.
