Los Angeles banned natural gas appliances in new homes. California is drifting that way too. Environmentalists gave the EPA virtually unlimited power. And while the Supreme Court recently rolled it back, the Biden-Manchin ‘Inflation Increase Act’ helped restore it. 

So it’s not a question of whether the EPA will do this, the question is when and whether it will get away with this latest assault on the working and middle class.

Environmental advocates are asking the Biden administration for a federal ban on new natural gas-powered heating appliances in homes and commercial buildings. 

In a petition submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Tuesday, 26 health, environmental and consumer protection organizations asked the agency for the ban. 

Environmental and health advocates have fought to bar natural gas appliances in homes and buildings at the city and state levels, citing health and climate impacts. 

The natural gas industry has pushed back on such efforts, making consumer choice and cost arguments. 

Such a ban would, among other things, further overload the already overloaded electric grid. As it’s doing in California.

The Green drive to push everything, transportation, home heating and cooking, into the electrical grid, even while banning reliable forms of power generation from fossil fuels and nuclear, while pushing unreliable worthless boondoggles like solar panels and wind turbines as the only sources will fatally overload everything.

And that’s the game plan.
