We could scarcely afford the time to spend money, though, because Nader expected staff to work around the clock.
Staff turned over rapidly. Few people could stand the hours, pay and abuse for more than a year or two.
Or Bernie Sanders.

The office environment “was so toxic and abusive that I felt like the only way I could continue to function both in my professional and personal life was to seek therapy and counseling,” one said. Ultimately, this person said, “I felt that leaving was the only choice.”
Marianne Williamson, the deranged cultist leftist, is so far the only candidate to run against Biden, and has been carrying the Bernie torch of turning America into the USSR.
Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont offered tepid praise on Tuesday for Marianne Williamson’s 2024 presidential campaign, telling Insider at the Capitol that he expected her to raise “very important issues” during the campaign.
Sanders has said he will support Biden if he seeks re-election, and told Insider on Tuesday that he doesn’t “want to speculate” about Williamson’s chances. But Williamson endorsed Sanders in 2020 after dropping out of the campaign, and he indicated a respect for her that other Democrats haven’t shown.
“I know Marianne,” said Sanders. “I’m sure she’s going to run a strong campaign and raise very important issues.”
So what follows next won’t be too surprising.
“It would be foaming, spitting, uncontrollable rage,” said a former staffer, who, like most people that spoke with POLITICO, was granted anonymity because of their concern about being sued for breaking non-disclosure agreements. “It was traumatic. And the experience, in the end, was terrifying.”
Williamson would throw her phone at staffers, according to three of those former staffers. Her outbursts could be so loud that two former aides recounted at least four occasions when hotel staff knocked on her door to check on the situation. In one instance, Williamson got so angry about the logistics of a campaign trip to South Carolina that she felt was poorly planned that she pounded a car door until her hand started to swell, according to four former staffers. Ultimately, she had to go to an urgent care facility, they said. All 12 former staffers interviewed recalled instances where Williamson would scream at people until they started to cry.
“She would get caught in these vicious emotional loops where she would yell and scream hysterically,” said a second former staffer. “This was day after day after day. It wasn’t that she was having a bad day or moment. It was just boom, boom, boom — and often for no legitimate reason.”
I know, it’s probably the least surprising story about a political candidate ever. If you expected anyone to be a deranged screamer, it’s Marianne “all you need is love” Williamson, but it’s still revealing of leftist hypocrisy.

FWIW, during the Clinton administration, the head of my federal agency, who always wore a beatific smile on his face in public, threw an ashtray at a female staffer at my agency (fortunately he missed but not for lack of trying) and, at a private law firm prior to coming to my agency had reduced a male colleague of my acquaintance to tears. Leftists are such wonderful people.

From what I remember reading from a retired CIA agent, he stated that anyone who had gotten in trouble, or fell out of favor with a supervisor, was given the Hillary Clinton detail. No agent wanted that detail due to Hillary’s horrible attitude, and the way she treated the agents (condescending, flippant, bitch) was wildly known around the CIA.
Senior agents refused to work the detail. So, they had to fill the detail with newly hired agents.

It is my experience from early childhood through late adulthood that most Leftists (so-called liberals) are always angry, they are never wrong, and if you are anywhere around them (this includes family members) the Leftist often erupts into uncontrollable rage over petty issues–the pettier the more important to them. They are mentally ill and need prolonged treatment in mental health facilities. And, worst of all, they gravitate toward positions of power.
