We’re not talking about J Street, though this is also a Soros project.
George Soros, the radical extremist who had referred to his time as a Nazi collaborator as “the most exciting time of my life”, is known for funding a variety of front groups, including some targeting Jews.
While Soros’ name is closely associated with J Street, the anti-Israel lobby, earlier ventures focused on a group known as Jewish Funds for Justice, which changed its name to Bend the Arc.
Bend the Arc is currently headed by Stosh “Stacy” Cotler, an anti-Israel protester, who apparently began her work as a dancer in a sex club.
In 2001, she protested a Portland appearance by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. The next year, Portland’s Willamette Week described her staging a mock Israeli checkpoint in a downtown intersection.
“You are now at an Israeli checkpoint. If you protest, you will be killed. Expect to be blindfolded and beaten,” she shouted through a mega-phone, according to the paper.
At the time, she was, according to the Socialist Worker, claiming that, “Many Jews have confused their own liberation with the systematic oppression of Palestinians. How many American Jews of good conscience support this atrocity?”
An article in the Saudi lobby’s Washington Report states that Cotler was working with Women in Black. She appears as a signatory on a Not In My Name petition calling for war crimes charges against Israeli soldiers.
Suffice it to say, Stosh Cotler really hates Israel. Now Bend The Arc is getting its own PAC courtesy of Soros’ son.
The son of Democratic mega-donor George Soros is gearing up to play a more active role in the 2016 election with the launch of new political action committee focused on representing the views of Jewish Americans — beyond foreign policy.
Alex Soros, 29, who has steadily increased his political and philanthropic giving in recent years, has helped establish Bend the Arc PAC, the first ever national Jewish political action committee in America focused entirely on domestic issues. Bend the Arc, a non-profit, has an advocacy arm chaired by the younger Soros but has not previously had a political action committee.
Bend the Arc PAC will back progressive candidates by making direct contributions to their campaign committees. It will focus on issues such as income inequality, marriage equality, social justice and immigration reform.
“There’s an opportunity to launch something that actually speaks to what the American Jewish community cares the most about and to show the narrative of what the real American Jewish experience is,” Alex Soros said in an interview.
And who better to show the real experience of American Jewry than the son of a Hungarian Nazi collaborator whose father described his own mother as a Jewish anti-Semite and who blamed Jews for anti-Semitism.
Alexander’s mother said that Soros’s mother disliked her because she was “openly Jewish.” Soros agreed that his mother saw his ex-wife as “too Jewish”. Who better to showcase the real American Jewish experience than the son of a Nazi collaborator and an anti-Israel ex-sex club worker? I mean besides Hitler’s rotting corpse and a Haman puppet?
Anyway this whole thing is already as incestuous as any Soros project. The PAC is drawing on Soros’ Democracy Alliance donors, a project for using big money to hijack elections. The whole thing will officially be run by Hadar Susskind of Soros’ J Street.
But at least the spawn of Soros has a sense of humor.
Soros said he hasn’t reached out yet to his father … about giving to Bend the Arc PAC.
Also I haven’t reached out to my left hand to discuss what my right hand is typing. Bend the Arc was funded by Soros. Politico doesn’t even bother noting that in its puff piece.
Susskind emphasized that Bend the Arc fills a void with its emphasis on domestic issues.
“We don’t touch any foreign policy stuff,” he said. “One of the reasons behind doing this is that [the other Jewish groups] aren’t really representing the views of the American Jewish community. And we know full well that the bluntest language in politics comes down to political dollars.”
And you can trust BDA’s avoidance of the “foreign policy stuff” coming from a J Street vet who runs a front group funded by the shadowy global Soros network. Stosh Cotler also insisted that she had nothing to do with the “foreign policy stuff”. Pay no attention to the woman screaming about Israel through a megaphone.
Meanwhile the list of Bend the Arc congressional endorsements predictably overlaps with the J Street boys and girls. But then they’re two halves of the same organization.
And long after WW2, George Soros still isn’t done persecuting Jews. He just wants to recapture the feeling from the “most exciting time in his life”.
