The indictment of Baltimore DA Marilyn Mosby on fraud and perjury charges was reported on The Point at Front Page Magazine shortly after it happened with a number of follow-ups, including this post, “Soros DA Marilyn Mosby’s Indictment Blamed on Racism, the Devil.”
For unclear reasons, perhaps the mention of the devil, the Soros network was not happy and I received a request for a correction from BerlinRosen acting on behalf of “Justice & Public Safety PAC, the political action committee primarily funded by George Soros”, which asserted that “Mr. Soros has not — directly or indirectly — backed or supported or contributed to Ms. Mosby.”
In response, I pointed out that while “Justice & Public Safety PAC” had not funded Mosby, she was entangled with elements of the Soros network.
“The post makes no mention of Justice & Public Safety PAC or of direct contributions to Mosby. I presume you are not challenging Mosby’s own disclosures of the trips funded by Fair and Just Prosecution?” I wrote.
As FOX Baltimore noted at the time, “As the Baltimore Brew was first to report Mosby received roughly $30,000.00 in reimbursed travel over the past two years. Earlier this month, we learned Mosby formed a travel agency in 2019 that she failed to mention in her financial disclosure forms filed with the State Ethics Commission.”
“Some Soros backed organizations sponsor trips like this one Mosby took to Europe. As this video produced by Fair and Just Prosecution shows roughly twenty prosecutors took that trip FJP sponsored and paid for. 30% of the trips Mosby listed were sponsored by Fair and Just Prosecution.”
“I don’t think that contributing to an organization that funds a trip makes Mosby a “Soros SA.” Do you?” a representative of Justice & Public Safety PAC retorted.
What exactly makes one a Soros DA anyway? I pointed out that FJP had described Mosby as part of its movement. And that’s not all.
“Would you like me to delve into just how often Mosby coordinated with FJP? Or for that matter, Open Society Institute – Baltimore? Need I mention the time that Mosby was invited on stage for a Prince concert for a benefit fund for OSI-B? That’s worth about how many campaign ads? Would you describe that as support?” I asked.
I also proposed that if George Soros wants to clear up the matter, he should issue a statement.
“It would certainly be helpful if you could clarify Mr. Soros’ current position on Ms. Mosby? He doesn’t support her now, he wishes to state that he has never supported her? An official statement would be the simplest way to clarify this and avoid any misunderstandings.”
Sadly, there was no such statement.
My only official statement is from Alex Navarro-Mckay who allowed me to quote him as saying that, “Justice & Public Safety PAC has never supported, directly or indirectly, Ms. Mosby’s campaigns for public office.”
I did not inquire about whether George Soros or Justice & Public Safety had ever supported, directly or indirectly, the devil.
I probably would have no better luck getting Soros to go on the record on the devil than I did with Soros DA Marilyn Mosby.
