The Center for American Progress is not nearly as influential as it used to be, but it’s still a key force in organizing Democrat policies, and while Soros had a major role in CAP already, this effectively helps turn it into his private fiefdom giving the former Nazi collaborator an even harder grip on the Democrats which is likely to further radicalize an already extremely radical partisan faction.
Patrick Gaspard, a longtime Democratic operative who served most recently as president of the George Soros-run Open Society Foundations, will take over as president and CEO of the Center for American Progress.
Controlling personnel means controlling policy and the power of CAP has been defining Democrat administrations. CAP is a feeder for those administrations which means Soros will get to have even more control over Democrat administrations.
CAP has fed more than 60 officials into the Biden administration, many in critical roles. It has helped shape some of the legislative initiatives and executive actions that the president has pursued on topics ranging from immigration to inclusivity in government agencies.
Translation: it’s effectively the brains behind the White House and the House of Representatives. And Soros will be the brain behind the brains.
