More bodies in the memory of St. Freddie.
How many corpses has Black Lives Matter piled up in Baltimore after its race riots over the death of drug dealer Freddie Gray in police custody. And then Baltimore’s Democrat leadership announced that it was going to give in to the rioters and tanked what was left of the city.
As Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake put it, “We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well.”
Since then the murder rate has been sky high.
Baltimore could wrap up 2019 with its highest per-capita homicide rate on record as killings of adults and minors alike for drugs, retribution, money or no clear reason continue to add up and city officials appear unable to stop the violence.
Police recorded 338 homicides as of Tuesday, following a week of relentless gunfire that saw eight people shot — three of them fatally — in one day and nine others — one fatally — another day. That total is up from 309 in 2018 and four shy of the 342 killings tallied in 2017 and 2015, the year when the city’s homicide rate suddenly spiked.
Here’s another impressive bullet point. This time from 2020.
Twelve people were shot and five of them were killed in a total of eight separate shootings Saturday in Baltimore, according to reports.
The first of the shootings was reported at about 2:30 a.m. and involved three women, all found with apparent gunshot wounds inside a car in a northeastern section of the city. One of the victims, a 28-year-old woman, died shortly after she arrived at a hospital.
If you really value black lives and human lives in general, let the police do their job. End criminal justice reform. Stop the violence.
