This is so sad & deflating to see.
It’s my hope that she flushes her head out back into daylight. If she continues this willful blindness, she’ll end up like Ann Coulter & Liz Cheney. (I once admired Liz greatly, but now I’d smile if she was charged for destroying evidence on the Jan 6th committee.)
Wait–what? Ann Coulter went bad too? Really? I’ve read her and seen her talk a little: she seemed like a fiery and excellent conservative to me. But I’m not refuting you or arguing, I’m just curious: why do you say that, and link her with Owens?
Candace Owens is a sellout and lost cause.
She’s sided with evil.
I was skeptical of Candace Owen when she was a leftist and suddenly “saw the light” and came over to the Right. She never seem genuine to me and now that she got in a spat with Ben Shapiro over Israel, now being the true gifted, she is aligning with the Muslims and eventually make her way back to the Left like that other phony David Brock of Media Matters.
Candace Owens was never to be trusted. The nasty Debbie Schlussel (she claims or implies that zi masturbate to Pamela Geller’s website) tried to warn people about Candace. Candace Owens was first a Leftist, but she made no money off of Leftism so she switched to being a right winger and got money from suckers — including the Daily Wire.
Candace Owens says nice or neutral things about Nazis and Hitler therefore earning Debbie Schlussel’s sobriquet of being “the black Eva Braun.”
Anyone can claim to be brainwashed. It’s proving it that becomes immediately problematic., starting with the process Candace employed to escape the alleged brainwashing. Methinks she doth protest too much She wasn’t brainwashed. Her self-importance and attitudes were rejected so she is retaliating in a way she believes will hurt those who challenged her as much as her narcissistic little feelings were hurt.
I have a theory about Owen’s radical change of heart regarding Islam, and all things that conservatives, Christians, and Jews have accurately criticized about Islam. It doesn’t really have anything to do with their accurate criticism of Islam.
I believe that Owens has a huge ego and is overreacting to past criticism directed at her. Her statements about Islam were calculated to hurt those who had the gall to knock her off her princess pedestal. She is avenging an injury to her right of entitlement. She has outed herself as a narcissist and that genie won’t go back in the bottle once revealed.
Kudos to those who forced Owens to show her true colors.
Owen’s assertion that genocide is never justified is not true. If a religion decides that all Cristians and Jews must die at the hands of its followers, then genocide against that religion is justified.
Owens is displaying extreme narcissism in her assertions, but not much rationality. Her statements are strategically provocative, but singularly irrational. Any group that is dedicated to the annihilation of another group, or groups, deserves the annihilation they intend for others. Owens seems to have had some kind of brain malfunction.
One has to wonder if she is well enough educated to know how Muslims first enslaved the blacks that were sold in America, South America, and the rest of the world. And someone should inform her that black chieftans sold their own people to slave traders.
Thank you, Robert Spencer, for your clear-headed assessment of Islam minus the Leftist Spin. Unlike Candace Owen, I was much older than 11 on 9/11. I clearly remember Pres. Bush’s visit to that Mosque before the ash had even stopped smoking at Ground Zero, and how he talked down to us, the traumatized and grief stricken American People about Islam being a “Religion of Peace”. Even as news video surfaced of Muslims dancing in the streets, passing out candy and ululating over the river in New Jersey! Later we heard that while all planes were grounded in US Air Space the very wealthy Bin Ladin Family was safely and quietly flown out of DC as if they were royalty. We now know the Bush Clan was very close to the self-appointed Saudi Royal Family. I remember how Hillary Clinton tried to speak at a meeting of officials and members of the NYPD and the FDNY in NYC and how she attempted to call for calm and to tamp down the righteous anger among the First Responders and got yelled off the stage! NO ONE in my memory was calling for attacks on Muslims living in the US, or for tearing down Mosques or burning Saudi Flags. NO ONE. But we could have used some respect and sympathy from our leaders, minus the lectures and insults! while we grieved our dead. Sadly, the lectures and insults continue to this day.
