Is it rational to fear a social construct that commands its adherents to lie, cheat, steal, and kill to impose that construct on the whole world? Of course it is, when there is ample evidence, amassed since the 9th Century (when Islam was concocted from whole cloth), that followers of that construct willingly endorse and do exactly those things in pursuit of global submission to its tenets.
In modern parlance, “phobia” is used to mean hate; however, phobia actually means fear. To fear Islam is not to hate it. We love sinners while hating their sin. We pray for their reformation and reconciliation with the word of God. But, we will not accede to the demands of the votaries of Mohammed, because to do so would be to turn our back on the Creator and His commandments.
