Staffing a new administration is a big job. That’s why having trusted people doing the staffing is important.
Unfortunately, as I document in today’s article, “The Koch Appeasers Taking Over Trump’s Defense Department”, a network of Koch-funded people whose foreign policy is at odds with America First are filling up the Pentagon.
John A. Byers argued that “peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial prosperity” with China must be the watchwords for a second Trump administration. “The vastness and persistent growth of China’s trade” suggests a “future of mutually assured production rather than mutually assured destruction.”
Byers came out of the Albritton Center for Grand Strategy at the Bush School of Government which was funded by the Charles Koch Foundation. He has now been appointed the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Southeast Asia even though his Koch policy proposals run counter to Trump’s.
“A second Trump administration must also avoid a heightened trade war with China,” Byers had argued, “that will harm American prosperity”.
Byers explained that “vowing to avenge the ‘century of humiliation’ the CCP will not tolerate Western bullying about its internal affairs” and that if we don’t threaten China then “a more secure China is less likely to engage in excessive military buildups that heighten self-fulfilling spirals of fear and hostility.”
“American hegemony is over,” the future Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Southeast Asia concluded.
My reporting was picked up by Steve Bannon, Mark Levin and others.
Here’s another Koch head at Defense https://t.co/5aFKpUypcN

How could someone like Byers be appointed as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Southeast Asia?
The answer may lie with Koch network figures who have been taking over the Pentagon in defiance of Trump.
“As of today, the incoming Trump Administration has hired over 1,000 people,” President Trump tweeted. “It would be helpful if you would not send, or recommend to us people who worked with, or are endorsed by, Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch)” along with a long list of others.
But Dan Caldwell, listed as a lobbyist by Americans for Prosperity who worked for a number of Koch network groups, has been staffing up the Department of Defense. Caldwell had followed the Koch appeasement line by warning that “U.S. leaders should avoid overinflating the threat posed by China. Indeed, China has its own domestic and international constraints that may hinder its rise. Accordingly, policymakers should deal with the challenges posed by China without resurrecting the Cold War or raising the likelihood of direct conflict.”
President Trump’s foreign policy is once again being hijacked out from under him.
Unfortunately there are at least five Trump cabinet members who have ties to Soros.
This current cabinet lets Satan move the Chess pieces on both sides of the board.
Which ones are those? Theres so much going on that it is difficult to keep track
I asked this clown the same question last week. He didn’t have an answer. He appears to be one of those irritating anti-Trump obsessives
That’s exactly what he is. A Trump troll.
Bessent is the first outed as was Bondi. Bondi was outed as soon as she replaced Gaetz as AG, so many here forget. Gaetz was labeled a shark and Trump’s advisors could not have that. Bondi has also voiced strong anti-2nd Amendment plans which worked against her in Florida. Her Soros connection was questioned at the time when the switch was made.
The Koch issue above with Byer’s with no mention of the the Koch – Soros issues. A significant number of the GOP have ties with Soros that never get mention. Tulsi Gabbard has a Soros relationship with the organization for up and coming world leaders she is with that is tied to Soros.
Steve Bannon and Gen. Flynn each separately pointed out the above as well as a few others that I do not recall but if it concerned them it should be of concern to all.
The fact is Soros has many strong ties to political and NGO organizations that a significant number of politicians share. His influence on these organizations set agendas for every member, each expected to carry out as their careers progress.
Do not mistake people critical of Trump as being anti-Trump. We question his picks, and in the end they are the picks of his advisors – and that is where it can all fall apart – again.
If Trump succeeds we win, if he does not, we lose again.
That is not anti-Trump.
Unless you name names and present at least some evidence your comment is worthless, typical leftist smear.
Levin I’ve always found to be on the mark.
Levin and Bannon reading and reposting Daniel , is an absolute good .
If only President Trump would read Daniel Greenfield everyday as I do, we might have a fighting chance in the US (not to mention the middle east).
Yes. His thinking is very clean and clear. He demonstrates the proper use of categories when he explains his reasoning. His is a beautiful mind.
Thanks KH !!!!!
Hegseth needs to fire Byers immediately.
And the Joint Chiefs and DOD are busy undermining President Trump’s policies prohibiting DEI and trannies in the military, among other things. The joint Chiefs are politicians posing as generals and soldiers and they need to be shit canned. The DOD needs to be purged.
I sure hope the President doesn’t allow this treason in this term of office.
“tremendous” president picks up wrong people for important jobs the same way he always does. Then he blames someone else for his actions. Example: he picked up former FBI director Wray.
It is why conservatives must hold Trump’s feet to the fire to stay the course, otherwise we are no different than the leftists.
His picks suggest they are not his own but his advisors’. That is where it fell apart his first term and will do so again if he relies 100% on staff.
Which of his picks do you have a problem with? Pete Hegseth? Kristi Noem? Tulsi Gabbard? James McHenry? Kash Patel?
Let’s see how much leeway they have to clean house.
I suspect President Trump will give them complete leeway. He appointed them not only because they’re the right people for the positions but because he trusts them.
I love political analysis from people who aren’t actually political analysts. You could always STFU.
Guess what. You aren’t going to create an anti-Trump wave in this country from Mommy’s bedroom.
I would say, though, that you are a Leftist.
Kash Patel is going to be Director of the FBI and Wray already resigned, dumbass. President Trump has picked up the right people. You only think they’re wrong because they’re competent and anti-establishment and you hate America.
The Dept of Defense needs t o get to the real threat to America and t hats the Invasion supported by the UN/CFR Globalists Soros is just one of Americas Worst Enemies besides the UN
I am very encouraged by the growing influence of FPM. Psalm 90:17 says “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And establish for us the work of our hands; Establish the work of our hands.”
May this blessing be given to Daniel Greenfield and FPM for the many years of toil in faithful obscurity.
I see Danny Boy and David Horowitz on Newsmax and Real America’s Voice fairly regularly. It’s cool that their voices are starting to reach a wider audience.
“Danny Boy” thats a good one! Just don’t call him late for dinner
Is it just me or does vanilla fudge Byers look exactly like the type of lowlife who’d take bribes from China?
vindmanns less butch cousin?…
Koch plants and Soros-adjacent assets should be expected.
Staffing at this level – qualifications must be met, lots of cats to herd, familiarity with the Federal regulatory landscape, etc.
Hard not to find someone with all the relevant experience and knowledge with no connections to the infamous lobbyists on K street.
So – if a few bad apples squeeze through, it’s no surprise.
And I wouldn’t calling it ‘holding Trump’s feet to the fire’ – or start getting all anti-Trump
when we’ve heard of a few possible snakes out of 1000+picks.
Makes me wonder how many of you have staffed for a multi-million dollar project
or understand Federal employment rules.
99%+ good picks is what I have picked up from this – and the watchdogs have alerted to the wolves in sheep’s clothing.
so it’s all good.
