Army values are far from those when I served (1966-86). And not for the better. The likes of Milley and Austin have destroyed the warrior ethos and pride in country. Today’s Army is not capable of defending this country all by design. Any conflict with Russia or China would decimate our armed forces. Thank you Marxist Democrats and RINOS. Anyone joining the military at this time will eventually end up as cannon fodder like those in Ukraine unless this present cabal is replaced by those that respect the Constitution and the principles upon which this country was founded. The present clown show in DC has put us on the road to destruction.

With all due respect, this is complete bs. It is the duty of EVERY soldier to fight the chain of command when the chain of command violates its SWORN duty to uphold and defend the Constitution. “Woke” policies are obviously unconstitutional for a variety of reasons. It doesn’t take a PhD in political science to understand this. Every officer who endorses “woke” is a traitor. Full stop.
I was a private E-1 and stood up to my chain of command for much, much less. For placing PRINCIPLES above promotions, I’ve suffered my entire life. So you reap what you sow. You wanted ingratiating bootlickers and kowtowing minions in your leadership core, and you got em. In spades. Do you SERIOUSLY think ANYONE in my chain of command recognized my actions as heroic and moral? LMAO… only in Hollywood movies does that nonsense exist. In reality, when you stand up to the Machine, the Machine runs you over. The officer and NCO corps have been rotten through and through for DECADES, this isn’t a new problem. The entire military ethos has been rotted to the core through 70 years of wars-for-profit, the cozy revolving door relationship between the govt and military and the attraction of lucre up for grabs with these endless unconstitutional wars.
The entire military establishment is rotten to the core.

It’s a damn shame that the WOKE driven insanity has been forced upon our great Army Academy, West Point. As an US Army Sergeant over 40 years ago I knew one West Point Graduate, my Company Commander and he was the most down-to-earth and professional Officer that I ever met. GOD save West Point and the US Army

When I served in the 50’s the majority of our field grade officers were veterans of WW 2.
These men are spinning in their graves.
Promotions in the ranks were based on ability and performance, not DEI and quotas.T
he denigration of our military continues…..

Thanks, Mark. As a college drop-out drafted into the U.S. Army in the late sixties, I think of all of those who never came back from America’s wars and those who came back wounded physically, mentally and spiritually and I am angered. GOD BLESS.

you are missing something. Next step will be to change the values without you seeing it. You are right removing country, bc they want a force loyal to a PARTY., not the Country or its people or constitution, THAT is what this about. Class of 89

The allegiance of law-abiding, liberty-loving citizens “to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands” is ABSOLUTE. However, our allegiance to the federal government must always be CONTINGENT upon its branches, departments and agencies remaining within the strict constraints imposed upon them by the original, ratified Constitution and its lawful Amendments (ref. www.newguardsforliberty.com).

Retired Special Forces Master Sergeant: At around 20 years service I had to confront this idea. As this author concluded my oath was to the Constitution of the United States. Not to the president, not to congress, nor to the supreme court! I swore to obey all LAWFUL orders of those appointed above me. If an order was clearly illegal I did not have to obey it! This of course required me to know the law of land warfare and obey it. But this applied to ALL soldiers (also all marines, navy, airforce, etc). As an American Citizen I accepted this responsibility. I have never renounced this. At 74 years of age it is unlikely I will be called back to service, However if it happens or circumstances require I will serve again. But I will still not obey an illegal order.

Can you summarize the significance of the phrase “Duty, Honor, Country” in military culture? slope game

The “march through the institutions” is complete. DOD, like DOJ and CIA, have become threats to our national security.
