We have this never-ending debate in America and especially in Washington, D.C., about what works: Left or Right, liberalism or conservatism, capitalism or socialism.
Well, there’s no need to debate anymore. The answer is in. We won!
Yes, the debate is over. All the stats are in from a hundred directions. “The Great American Divorce” I’ve predicted for almost 20 years is happening. And the more Democrats talk, the more Americans choose to run for their lives.
Almost everyone is leaving with daddy! Because mommy is a vicious, overbearing, liberal, Democrat control freak.
Americans are voting with their feet. And the winner is… RED STATE AMERICA. Americans are moving by the millions away from high-tax, high-regulation blue states and moving to low-tax, light-regulation red states. Or in some cases, like my state of Nevada, although it’s a purple state, they’re moving here because the taxes are zero.
Check the stats. There is no way to “massage” the numbers. The red states, low-tax states and zero-tax states are winning. High-tax blue states are losing all their citizens. Not just any citizens. The ones with income, assets and businesses. In other words, this divorce is all about money.
And anyone with money wants to run away from blue states and liberal Democrat policies.
The big winners in this “Great National Divorce” are red states like Texas, Florida, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Utah and Arizona… as well as zero-tax Nevada.
The big losers are California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois and every other blue state. If liberalism works so great, why do their citizens want out? Because if liberal ideas and policies worked, they would stay, right? Or they’d move from one blue state to another.
But no one is leaving New York for blue state New Jersey. No one is leaving New York for blue state California. No one is leaving anywhere for Chicago. Why?
Because liberal Democrat ideas are a failure. Americans (at least the smarter ones) want personal and economic freedom. They want lower taxes. They want less government regulation. They want no masks; no lockdowns; no vaccine mandates. No one wants to live in a nanny state.
The only residents California or New York gains are illegal aliens, homeless people, drug addicts and lazy welfare bums looking for a bigger government check.
Take Las Vegas, Nevada, my adopted hometown for 21 years now. I ran away from California in 2002. It was the best decision of my life. I’ve saved at least a million dollars in taxes since then. Can you imagine how much of a better life a million dollars can buy? It pays for a nicer home, nicer cars, better lifestyle, more vacations and a few college educations thrown in. Thank God for zero-tax Nevada.
But it’s much more than income tax. Here in Nevada, we have zero corporate tax, zero capital gains tax, zero inheritance tax and most importantly, among the lowest property taxes in America.
We also have a brand-new Republican governor (Joe Lombardo). Which means none of this will change for at least another four years, and quite possibly the next eight years.
But it’s much more than that. It’s about freedom. One of the first acts by our new Republican governor was declaring that no child in the state of Nevada will be forced to take the COVID-19 vaccine to attend school. Bravo!
But here’s the really big advantage of living in Nevada. No state income tax means no state IRS tax agency. Meaning in 21 years of living here, not one person from the state government has ever contacted me. No calls, no emails, no mail. I’ve never heard from a single government employee ever, about anything.
That’s called FREEDOM.
Yes, Nevada had mask mandates under our old Democrat tyrant governor. But they were rarely enforced. For all intents and purposes, I never wore masks. Maybe for 5 minutes a month — just for a few seconds, to walk into a store or restaurant. Then I immediately took it off. No one ever said one word to me. No person, no store owner, no security guard, no cop.
People are allowed to live and let live here. We can make personal decisions. We have a brain. We have free will. And even when Nevada’s Democrats pass a dumb law, no one enforces it. This isn’t a nanny state like California or New York.
The result? The whole of California is moving here (or at least it feels like it). Count license plates in parking lots, or in driveways, or at casinos. Every other plate is from California.
But it’s not just people moving to Nevada, and more specifically Las Vegas. Even California’s sports teams are moving here. First the Oakland Raiders abandoned California for Las Vegas. Now the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team is moving to Las Vegas. What’s next? Maybe the Oakland City Hall will relocate here!
Every day a new high-profile restaurant, retailer or entertainment complex announces they’re opening their flagship location here. These are major businesses spending 20 to 50 million dollars each to open in Vegas.
And why here? Not just because the taxes are zero, but also because any business can get zoning and other construction approvals quickly. In blue states it takes years and millions of dollars. Here it’s fast and inexpensive.
Everyone has chosen. The winner is red states, low taxes, low regulation, smaller government, more freedom and no masks or vaccines. Liberal Democrat ideas and policies have failed. No one wants them.
“The Great American Divorce” is not only happening; the more Democrats talk, the bigger it grows.
Here’s hoping that they don’t vote for communism.
It seems like we’re all only one election away from disaster. And with red-staters moving in, it could happen any time. These people are like locusts; they devour one habitat and move on to the next, bringing their idiotic voting patterns with them.

Communism? It’s already here. (Only now it expresses itself as fascism, i.e., ‘public/private partnerships’).
This is like similar vast population movements in India, Vietam and Korea in the 20th century to escape oppression, and it will protect us no more than those movements did: the Left will not relent. They’ll still hunt us down and seek to destroy us.
It’s a pyrrhic victory.
A de facto pragmatic partition is taking place that will accelerate if there’s a banking collapse or the US petro dollar is abandoned . In fact the least worst option for a national divorce is something akin to what happened in the Soviet Union in 1991 when individual republics seceded, mostly peacefully,
It seems to me that the future of the US is a 3-way pragmatic partition, something similar to what happened in India/Pakistan back in 1947, with the Blue north east; the Red midwest and south, and the Blue westcoast
But things could go wrong as this essentially criminal DEm government could intervene and provoke an actual civil war ; then who knows what could happen . The US is now polarised between Left and Right like Weimar Germany and is a candle burning from both ends while sitting on a debt bomb !
Like Robert Spencer has argued, the frenzied Left is just looking for an excuse to declare martial law. And then…?
They’re goading us into starting something, but we refuse. And we must continue to refuse, as any excuse will be sufficient for them.
Nevada is a purple state because of Californication. All other Red States are doomed unless we have a real national divorce – one that comes with immigration control.
Let’s not produce a venturi effect on our nether regions just yet, Wayne. Sure, people are fleeing blue hell holes for red states like never before. The question is, do they understand who and what is responsible for their fleeing, and will they bring their voting habits that destroyed where they fled from to where they are fleeing to?
We shall see.
That was my fear when we moved to Idaho from California. Most of the expats we’ve met here are good conservatives and are helping to root out any out of state rot we find. Because we know the consequences of Democrat policies. We strengthened our voting procedures, ended abortion on demand, no child mutilations, constitutional right to carry and we’ve not legalized pot. You must stay vigilant or the left crawls in like a thief in the night.
I have a good reason to believe that those who escape Blue-hell states well know why they escaped which makes them more determined to not let the same happen to their adopted Red state. I happen to be a good example of a Californican escapee who moved to Idaho. I’d say the 95% of my small community consists of escapees just like myself. All well-armed Reddies,

The US blue states can eventually join up with Canada
Few people fleeing blue states have any notion of the connection between the ideology they vote for and the results they get. Women are the worst offenders in this regard.
There is no safe haven to retreat to in this country anymore. Busloads of illegal aliens are being distributed throughout this country by the multi-millions, far more than the few hundred thousand Americans that choose to relocate to other states internally. These dependent and needy people will destroy every last vestige of the good ol’ US of A as they leech and mooch off of what remains of the productive people. Like the barbarian invasion caused the Roman Empire to collapse and brought about the Dark Ages, the illegal alien invasion has brought about our own Great Unraveling. Trump’s failure to Build The Wall was the death knell of the USA.
I agree with everything but “Trump’s failure to build the wall” ?.’is disingenuous. Do you remember the roadblocks he faced? And it was happening until the big steal of 2020, The fact there hasn’t been one built is partially why he got elected. Democrats stopped it and, with Republicans, decided to build up the military of Ukraine and open us up to the invasion you wrote about.
Not only this but Biden is letting illegal aliens walk in through the ports of entry! Even if we had a solid wall along the whole border, if you leave the door fully open and promise rewards to illegals/criminals, they will flood in! It’s true at the border as well as at your home.

We left California in 2018. Nevada wasn’t in the running, particularly Vegas, because you’re running out of water. But, we landed in a red state and couldn’t be happier. Being vigilant for Democrats dressed as Republicans to win elections and stupid Marxist policies is easier than being railroaded by the mob. Biggest problem here is federal teachers unions trying to dumb down and sexualize our kids. They are a plague on our nation. And much of the news media is as vacuous as in the rest of the country. Must be coming out of the same schools.. So red staters take heed. We are the lefts targets.
The best way for you to fight the teachers’ unions is to pull your kids out of public schools. You can homeschool (lots of work, lots of satisfaction if things go well, and not for everyone), send your kids to real, conservative religious schools, or form neighborhood schools run by parents who are also the teachers; the possibilities are endless. Hillsdale College has curricula for K-12 students to learn either at home or in some other arrangement, and there are other good resources. Khan Academy is said to be pretty good too, at least for math and related subjects.
But kill the beast; stop feeding them your children.
My kids are all out of school. Unfortunately, some of my neighbors seem satisfied that because they live here everything’s cool. I remind them the federalization of public schools and curriculum isn’t created here. But since I have no kids, I have no standing, apparently. So, I let it go. But the product of public schools effects everyone.
And what should be the mechanics of the new dispensation? Will the current divorce under the same nuptial agreement end in yet another divorce? All is illuminated here:
The only problem with Red states is that they often have poor quality and inadequate special education and mental health care. Medicaid is a big issue because some people get disabled and have to wait 2 years or more to get social security disability. In the meantime, they have NO Medicaid. I would contend that many would not end up on social security disability if they had received quality medical care in the first place, but how can they( we don’t need a Nanny State in general, but the reality is that at any given time, perhaps 10% of the population is disabled, addicted, psychotic, clinically depressed, autistic or mentally retarded. The Red states don’t do enough, and then the federal government pays disability. In many cases, adequate education, medical or psychiatric and psychological care and oversight by visiting social worker would prevent many medical expenses and in some cases, keep the person employed and insured. Maybe if Red States were penalized for having excessive numbers of people on social security disability, they would fund these programs. Texas is full of people on social security disability. It’s not just that they migrate here. It’s also that they didn’t get good medical care, psych care or vocational rehab and guidance. Right now, it’s cheaper for the state to keep them on SSI and SSDI.
Yes, if only red states had more social workers. You typify how women turn liberty into dependency.
How is it Nevada is not a blue state? Nevada has been “for sale” since the 20’s.
People grieve for the country they love and the free country that will be missed for their children to grow up in. We all must realize that Godless nations are not in God;s good graces., Its a. hard lesson to learn.
What it really means is that those states losing population will always be controlled by the Democratic Party. The Republican Party will always lose in those states. America is a divided country along political, racial, 0r economic groups.
Most of the Wall would be built by now if President Trump had taken his rightful office, and 2nd Presidency. The borders would be secured because he was elected by the people.
I have two conservative friends that I’ve known for years, unaware of each other, who live in NYC proper. Both have independently told me that each knows a multitude of conservatives there. Both agree that elections have been stolen there for decades and the city has become a proving ground for Democrat shenanigans. As of this year, both are headed for Florida. BTW…both are single. I’m trying to get them together.
All I’m sayin’ is…go easy on your new state constituents. You might find they’re more conservative than even YOU.
