The Left Can Only Lie

All of the left’s positions are built on lies. They have nothing else to support their deranged agenda.

A strange thing happened last week. After the lightning upheaval in Syria, Israel moved its forces into the vacuum left by the rapid departure of Assad’s vanishing army. Israel could have marched to Damascus but considered the buffer area around the UN separation line enough to protect from any attack by the new powers in Syria. What happened last week was that six Druze villages voted unanimously that they want to remain under Israeli protection. These villages border Israel and are in constant contact with Israeli Druze relatives and friends. Another smaller meeting took place later to claim that the spiritual leader of those Druze disapproves of the prior meeting and wants to be part of a greater Syria. Israeli tanks and forces are now in those towns as part of Israel’s new defense posture, and the locals don’t want them to leave.

Don’t the Druze read the news and know that Israel is supposedly an apartheid state, treating anyone who is not Jewish like garbage? Apparently these Druze folks don’t get CNN, MSNBC or the like and must have missed the bulletin. Or maybe the Druze, not being dummies and having their lives on the lines, actually know what the truth is. Israel is by no stretch a perfect country, but it certainly does not practice apartheid. All Israeli citizens, including Muslims and Christians, have the same rights—including voting—as do Jews. Palestinians live in their own areas and are supposed to vote for their own leaders. As their leaders do not want elections that will eject them, it is not Israel’s fault that they live in a virtual dictatorship. There is no apartheid practiced in Israel, and the 15 or so Israel-hating Arab Knesset members who make astronomical salaries are proof that what those on campuses in America and on the streets of Western capitals say is a lie.

Were that it was the only lie. But the left’s program is all but bereft of truth. Let’s take a quick look at the lies being sold at those antisemitic rallies at places like Harvard (and I was right—they turned their Jewish male “temporary” president into the 31st president of the university—and bypassed the whole DEI filter machinery).

*Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. There is no genocide and Israel has taken exceptional risks and precautions never undertaken by any Western army to minimize civilian casualties.

*Israel is a colonialist occupier. One point that cannot be stressed enough is that on the 7th of October, 2023, Israel had zero presence in Gaza. Additionally, the areas brutally attacked, with 1,200 dead and 250 taken hostage, are all regions recognized by the UN and the countries of the world as “Israel” since 1948.

*From the River to the Sea. There never was a Palestinian state. Last week, I had the opportunity to pass by a monument all but ignored today. It is a large white marble block with the names of non-commissioned officers who died in World War I in the British capture of Jerusalem from the Ottoman forces. Not for one minute of one day was there ever a Palestinian state, thus eviscerating the claim that Israel illegally occupies a country that existed prior.

But these lies are simply brothers and sisters of the lies that the left tells through the media, university professors, and any method it can reach the populace. Some of the more blatant:

*Men can become women and vice versa. There is absolutely no process by which a person can change his or her sex. A guy can be effeminate, while a woman can be more of a tomboy. But in the end, what is “assigned at birth” is what we take with us to the grave: XX or XY, with some very rare exceptions to this ironclad rule. Inventing genders does not change scientific reality.

*DEI is good. Ignoring merit and giving advantage based on spurious factors such as race, sex, family background and the like has been shown to be a disaster. We have people flying planes and performing surgery who are incompetent and are in their positions for the wrong reasons.

Uncontrolled immigration is who we are. As one can see, bringing in millions of ungrateful Muslims has led to the destruction of European norms. I am Jewish but I do not like to see Muslims aggressively disturbing the traditional Christmas markets in Germany. Many of these people cannot be converted into productive European citizens and should be ejected and sent back to their beloved Garbagastan. They can take their designer clothes and iPhones with them.

*An Open Border is Good. While the US does not experience the religious/Sharia problems of uncontrolled immigration, the millions who have been intentionally brought into the US by the outgoing administration have led to social unrest and disruption from sea to shining sea. Why should someone at O’Hare or Logan Airport have to step over illegal aliens who have no place to stay? Why should black residents of Chicago find that monies and resources set aside for their communities have been given to illegals brought into the city?

*There is a Climate Emergency.  Not one of the predictions from Al Gore and his cult has come true during the past 20 years.  Increasing carbon dioxide concentrations have led to an increase in arable land.  There is no increase in hurricane frequency or intensity.  It’s all a pile of lies so as to justify telling you what car you can drive and whether or not you will have a gas stove and a dryer in your home.

As is well known, when one begins to lie, he needs to keep lying to keep the original lie alive. The left, in abandoning traditional American values of honesty, religion, and fairness, has nothing but lies to go on. Thus, they can support the Boston Marathon bomber or the murderer of the UnitedHealthcare CEO. They can see in perennial criminals such as Michael Brown, George Floyd and now Jordan Neely heroes rather than the lowlifes that they were. The left is cheering Neely when it was Daniel Penny who acted in true American fashion to protect other train passengers openly threatened by Neely. The left’s gyroscope is spinning around and cannot get pointed in the right direction. They see the nuclear family as bad and leftwing indoctrination at public schools as good. There is no meaningful public dialogue because the two halves of the country speak different languages and have no common ground for agreement. Virtually everything in Congress passes along party lines.

Donald Trump is coming to Washington with an impressive group of deputies. There is much that needs to be fixed in America, and maybe one of the most important is to expose the lies that led to the Covid virus and the subsequent response disaster, the weaponization of the FBI, and the destruction of US energy independence and military deterrence. That’s the thing with lies: they can work for a while, but at some point, they are exposed as false, as are those who peddled them.
