There have been conversations in the media about its faded relevance in the aftermath of the 2024 election.
But despite the hype about some media outlets possibly hiring some Republicans (maybe even some in Trump’s orbit) it’s a meaningless concession that will change nothing. No more than having George Will at the Washington Post or William Safire at the Washington Post did.
The media is still gonna be the media and it proved that after Biden decided to provide a sweeping full pardon for Hunter. Rather than discussing the implications of a full pardon, rather than a partial commutation or limited pardon for his crimes, the media went into full ‘Republicans pounce’ mode.

The scandal will never be the scandal. The scandal will always be that Republicans noticed it.
As Chris Cilliza, formerly of CNN put it, “a colossally selfish decision that will allow every Trump supporter to note that Democrats say one thing and do another.”
The problem is not that Joe Biden all but admitted to the accusations of foreign influence peddling with that 11-year pardon, it’s that Republicans have noticed and that this damages Democrats.
This is the same kind of reasoning that got them Biden in the first place. The only reason they ousted Biden was because he performed badly at a debate. Until then the media maintained a united front in lying about his mental state.
Much like Biden’s senility, the only problem with Biden’s corruption is he got caught.
The media will never stop covering for Biden unless it’s politically damaging for their side. That’s why ‘Republicans pounce’ will remain the default.

For all the good it exhibited, Hunter might as well have been charged with MOPERY WITH INTENT TO CREEP.. Small fine and slap on the wrist. Same Same. There is a remedy that will put a stop to ALL this. But for the vast majority of Americans, that remedy is entirely too painful to contemplate.
The fun thing given the current leftard obsession with labeling anybody who disagrees with them as “literally Hitler” is that you can make a case that Hitler was a better person than Drug Hunter is.
He was good to small children and dogs, faithful to his lover, and to top it off was a better artist.

They were covering for Jose Dementio for 4 straight years and they still got their asses kicked. Now that it’s finally over tell the media to keep it up.
Beginning with the Clintons, the 30 year grift of the radicalized commie Jihadi DemoCrats has finally come to an end. It continued with the fundamental transformation of grifter No.2, gay Muslim Barry Soetoro. It finally crashed and burned with Demented Biden. Each iteration was worse than what went before. Each iteration needed propping up from an increasingly corrupt “press”.
Can you imagine what a Hilary presidency would have looked like? A scandal du jour. Fortunately Trump won against her and we got to see what normalcy looked like albeit for four years. Otherwise it would have been continuous scandal and grift, through Clinton, Obama and Biden into the Harris admin. Grift-a-palooza.
Thank God Harris was so monumentally awful as a candidate. Back to normalcy and greatness with Trump 2.0.

Nate Silver has a good term: “The Village”, meaning the East Coast Progressive establishment. Controlling and selling out the rest of the country. I have been reading about the War of 1812, how some there similarly sold out the rest of the country and even did business with the British during the war. So it has been going on a long time.
