Can the new House GOP majority do anything? Even something as simple as booting Rep. Ilhan Omar off the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where she belongs as much as I belong on Al Qaeda’s councils, can’t proceed because some House Republicans are protecting her.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) on Friday joined a group of House Republicans opposed to kicking Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) off the Foreign Affairs Committee, putting the high-profile effort dangerously close to failing.
Buck, a member of the right-wing Freedom Caucus, told NBC News’ Chuck Todd he is against Republicans removing Democrats like Omar from their committees.
Buck is the third House Republican to say they oppose removing Omar, along with Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.).
“I think that we should not engage in this tit-for-tat,” Buck said.
Not engaging in tit-for-tat, better known as not fighting back, has worked brilliantly for Republicans thus far.
So what’s the plan to dissuade Democrats from doing this when they’re next in the majority? Scold them by emphasizing that Republicans will not lower themselves to engaging in any tit-for-tat. Do anything you like to us, but we will not respond with tit-for-tat.

After saying he’s opposed to Omar’s removal, Buck added: “I have a little bit less certainty about Congressman Schiff and Swalwell on Intelligence just because it’s a little bit different than a regular committee. But I’m going to think through that and make a decision.”

Rep. David Joyce (R-Ohio), the chair of the moderate Republican Governance Group, told Axios on Tuesday that Omar “should at least be given the opportunity to defend her prior statements” on the House floor.
“I haven’t taken a position on it because I haven’t seen a case against her, but I think she’s entitled to due process and she should be able to make her case on why she shouldn’t be [removed].”
“I don’t think tit for tat is necessary here,” said Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.). “We should be better than what the Democrats were.”

The GOPers defending Omar are not really GOPers…RINOs. The removal of Omar is not a tit-for-tat move…it is about her antisemitic statements that are completely inappropriate. The tit-for-tat argument used by Buck and his fellow RINOs is very weak. I propose they do a formal ethics investigation about the fraud she committed with marriage to brother / immigration, which is a crime and also add the antisemitic states in the investigation. This way she can not only be removed from the committee, but also removed from Congress and eventually removed from the country. This would remove one skid mark stain from the nations underwear known as Ilhan Omar.

When 98% of the Republicans are actually or effectively RINO it is a self-destructive, self-deception, to believe there’s really a difference and the “real” Republicans are just around the corner coming to save America.

She has made “her case” with public statements. Why have a hearing where she can deny them or claim they were “out of context”? When will the Neville Chamberlain type Republicans be seen as who they are and voted out of office? The answer is never because their electorate is to apathetic or just plain stupid to consider the consequences of having “surrender monkeys” represent them.

There is CONCRETE EVIDENCE that Ilhan Omar married her brother so that he could get federal student loan funds in college. Why in God’s name should this woman even be IN Congress. Are we in a Comedy of Manners or real life? I don’t think I’m a Republican anymore. Having run unsuccessfully for state office against teachers unions and other democrats who would gladly rip my face off, I can attest to the dreamlike irrelevance of my party. My campaign commentary got 10,000 hits a week and my best one was “My Republican Shoes Are Still In Their Boxes.”
The dumb RINO notion that it is noble to let Dems dish it out but never have to take it is why the Left succeeds in moving the country leftward even when the Repub party is nominally in charge.
