Maybe quoting Hitler would suit them better?

If Scott Kelly looks familiar to you, it’s because his brother, Mark Kelly, is married to Gabrielle Giffords, and together they’ve been pushing gun control. Kelly’s own Twitter feed is a Comey-esque assemblage of pseudo-inspirational stuff with the prog “for decency’s sake” brand of Trump-bashing. But there’s no room for even feigned decency, inspiration and patriotism in today’s left.

So shortly Scott had to apologize for using a Churchill quote to bash Trump. Not for bashing Trump, but for the Churchill quote.

“Did not mean to offend by quoting Churchill. My apologies. I will go and educate myself further on his atrocities, racist views which I do not support. My point was we need to come together as one nation. We are all Americans. That should transcend partisan politics,” Kelly wrote on Twitter in the evening.

If there’s anything that Churchill stood for, it was apologizing while doing nothing wrong.

I like how the mainstream liberals have learned to announce that they will voluntarily attend reeducation camp rather than stand up for what they claimed was right only a short time ago. We keep getting lectures on moral courage from moral cowards.

But it’s also good to know that the Churchill purge is preceding apace, alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Clarence Thomas. One day we may be privileged to live in a nation where all the statues are of Barack Hussein Obama.
