The historically unpopular Starmer government in the UK announced cuts to winter fuel payments to pensioners, claiming that would save £1.5 billion a year.
Since more than half of applications have been turned down.
But the Starmer government does have better use for that money. In 2024 alone, it has spent nearly 100 million pounds on ‘aid’ to the terrorist-occupied areas in Israel.
UK International Development Minister Anneliese Dodds recently announced another £12 million pounds for aid through the UN.
“The situation in Gaza is catastrophic,” Dodds falsely claimed, arguing that “Gazans are in desperate need of food and shelter with the onset of winter.”
Meanwhile, British pensioners are being deprived of fuel payments because, unlike Muslim terrorists in Gaza, they don’t matter.

Really, the money goes to Hamas.
Phil Lipofsky says
Its not for good reason that winter fuel payments to pensioners have been cut. The pensioners, being elderly, tend to vote conservative and need to be killed off (sound familiar?), marginalized and suppressed, hindered from venturing out to vote at very least with no warm home to recover in. From the perspective of the Liberals, the sooner the elderly die or are kept silent and out of voting lines, the better. That, in order to keep liberals and the likes of Starmer and company in power. Can you imagine loosing your job and income because you got voted out of office, and you’re a liberal socialist with no work-risk ethic or ability to actually make a reliable living? It would be terrifying for any epistemologically challenged Laborer.
Oh, and don’t forget the kool bribes, honey-potting and blackmailing, symbiotic internal social pressures, Islamic threats, and faux political support campaigns applied to members convincing them of wiser places for the money to be spent. Actual constituencies with power have a voice, they must be respected, or else.

Why did you Brits put Starmer into office? Did he lie his way in?

I’m not sure, but my WAG tells me that the party that was in failed to do what they had promised, so a different party got elected because people thought things would change, and things did change, but not in a good way.
Maybe MO or someone else from the UK can put a more enlightened spin on the subject.
Mike Mac says
The force multiplyer is that in the UK they don’t have proportionale representation.
Farages REFORM got 30% of the votes but only 6% of the seats.
The UK populace want that to change as the Labour Party got 30% of the votes and nearly 50% of the Seats
The Conservatives got way more seats than REFORM with only a few % more votes.
