This is environmentalism in a nutshell.
The UN COP global warming summits exist, like most UN events, to allow the connected elites to fly to exotic places and wine, dine, bed and chat up each other, while plotting to impose their power on the world at large.
COP28 took place in Dubai, whose economy is built on oil, while COP29 headed to Baku whose economy is built on oil, but COP30 was hyped as taking place in the Brazilian rainforest. Environmentalists claim that the Amazon is endangered and yet they insist on visiting it. They claim that air travel is destroying the planet, yet they keep flying to places to discuss global warming, instead of using Zoom, and this time they’ve really done it.
Building a highway through a rainforest to discuss global warming is peak environmentalism.
A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.
It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people – including world leaders – at the conference in November.
The state government touts the highway’s “sustainable” credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact.
Along the partially built road, lush rainforest towers on either side – a reminder of what was once there. Logs are piled high in the cleared land which stretches more than 13km (8 miles) through the rainforest into Belém.
Diggers and machines carve through the forest floor, paving over wetland to surface the road which will cut through a protected area…
Adler Silveira, the state government’s infrastructure secretary, listed this highway as one of 30 projects happening in the city to “prepare” and “modernise” it, so “we can have a legacy for the population and, more importantly, serve people for COP30 in the best possible way”.
Speaking to the BBC, he said it was a “sustainable highway” and an “important mobility intervention”.
He added it would have wildlife crossings for animals to pass over, bike lanes and solar lighting. New hotels are also being built and the port is being redeveloped so cruise ships can dock there to accommodate excess visitors.
If you needed any more evidence that green is fake, it’s building a giant highway through a rainforest and then adding bike lanes and solar panels for ‘sustainability’.
This whole thing is a scam. It’s always been a scam. It’s a way to amass power and money, and for some, attack capitalism and push government and global government takeovers.
They do not believe that the oceans are rising, that temperatures are rising and that unless we cut back, humanity will die out.
That’s the lie they tell us to justify their lifestyles and their power.
Yeah, that was a classic. Cut down the rainforest to save it.
I have strong reason to doubt that climate change due to human activities is the existential crisis that it’s being ginned up to be. That reason is that there is a Grand Canyon-sized gap between what The Powers That Be are saying and what they are actually doing with respect to climate change.
If climate change was an existential crisis, and if The Powers That Be were serious about climate change:
-We’d see world leaders meeting via Zoom more and jet setting all over a lot less.
-Employers would be embracing remote work.
-Nuclear energy would be fast tracked and safer, more efficient next generation designs for nuclear reactors would get the thumbs up.
-We’d see more high speed rail.
-We’d see cities being made more livable.
-We’d see more quality small cars.
But we don’t see this. Instead:
-World leaders and gazillionaires keep jet setting all over in private jets.
-Employers are threatening people to go back to the office.
-Fearmongering about nuclear energy continues apace.
-Cities are less livable than ever.
-The electric vehicle boondoggle is being forced on us.
Their hypocrisy is so blatant only fools continue to believe this nonsense and the beautiful rainforest is but another tragedy of their arrogance!
Those climate change charlatans seem ignorant of the chemical symbiotic relationship between flora and fauna. If they weren’t they would understand why clear cutting large swaths of forest land does more damage to the atmosphere than all the ICE engines ever manufactured.
We, humans, think of gaseous carbon compounds as pollutants. Plants see it otherwise. And yes, plants are living things and are quite intelligent in their own way. How? Their understanding and use of chemistry far exceeds humans understanding of the subject.
Proof? With threats from predators that would not hesitate to eat us, humans and animals can run away and hide. We humans can now even shoot and kill a carnivorous predator and thus ending the threat.
But plants can’t run or hide from predators Instead, their only defense against predators (bugs, animals and humans) is via chemistry. Bitter tasting? Poisonous to eat? Sever allergic reactions? They’re the means by which plants protect themselves from predators.
Yes, plants use the carbon atoms in CO2 molecules for cellular growth and expel twice as much oxygen for us beasts to breath. All terrestrial life is carbon based and without enough CO2 to help retain solar heat in the atmosphere, Earth would be a barren desert planet like Mars. CO2 doesn’t heat the air at all. There is no such chemical reaction. And all four of the long warmer periods in written human history are called “climate optima” for good reason.
The global warmunists are all either con-artists or their marks. Like you, I don’t want science lessons from liars or retards.
Oops! I meant without the right proportion of CO2 in the atmosphere, Earth would be a desert planet like Mars, which has an atmosphere of 96% CO2.
Of course, the atmosphere of Venus has an even higher CO2 content than Mars and somehow it developed a sulphuric acid cloud cover which makes its average surface temperature the same as molten lead according to the old schoolbooks (864 to 872 F I just read,) while Mars gets 100 below zero on its equator at night. Don’t ask me why Venus has a cloud cover composed of sulphuric acid. I sure don’t know.
I do know that without enough nitrogen and oxygen, we’d be screwed, and without enough carbon dioxide, we’d also be screwed. It’s amazing that such a simple chemical compound as CO2, which comprises less than 1% of the atmosphere, has such an influence on planetary life. If it weren’t for Mars and Venus I’d think it was bullshit.
Me personally, I like our planet with plenty of Flora and fauna. Fuck Mars and fuck Venus. The first Astronauts to make it Mars are all going to die, unfortunately, although I do believe it could eventually be settled – the way Antarctica is settled – except without a breathable atmosphere or sufficient gravity for human health. John Carson and Gullivar Jones aren’t going to be running around up there and we sure aren’t going to meet Carson or Lucky Starr on Venus.
Plants and insects are experts in chemical warfare.
They are all about absolute power and using ubiquitous “climate” is their way of slithering into every facet of life to impose their nihilistic, anti-human evil.
