It’s “Bring Back USAID Or Everyone Will Die (But Mostly My Organization Will Lose Money)” – Part 3
The Vatican’s charity said Monday that U.S. plans to gut USAID were “reckless” and could kill millions, while Pope Francis’ point man on development urged the Trump administration to remember Christian principles about caring for others.
Cardinal Michael Czerny, a Czech-born Canadian Jesuit, is one of the cardinals most closely associated with Francis’ pontificate and heads the Vatican office responsible for migrants, the environment, the church’s Caritas Internationalis charity and development.
Caritas on Monday warned that millions of people could die as a result of the “ruthless” U.S. decision to “recklessly” stop USAID funding, and hundreds of millions more will be condemned to “dehumanizing poverty.”
Millions of people could die… if you don’t give us money.
More relevantly, USAID provides between 50% to 60% of Catholic Relief’s budget. And despite the name, much of CRS’ work does not involve helping Christians, (e.g. Gaza) and other Muslim parts of the world.
In a speech a day earlier at the International Religious Freedom Summit, Vice President JD Vance, who is Catholic, questioned why the U.S. is ending “sending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars abroad to NGOs that are dedicated to spreading atheism all over the globe.”
John Carr, the former executive director of the bishops’ Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development, acknowledged that “any agency and program can be improved.” But he accused the Trump administration of “seeking to silence and intimidate” those who question or oppose its policies.
“Vice President Vance attacked the Catholic Church for our work with migrants and others attack CRS’s help for hungry and sick people around the world claiming we serve poor children and vulnerable families at home and abroad for the money,” said Carr.
Money certainly seems to be a factor here. But so does politics.
Pope Francis’s candidate and party lost an election. That has consequences. And it’s a bit late to protest that CRS is a bipartisan project when its political agenda and policies are diametrically opposed to those of Trump and the American people.
Many years ago, while as a twice daily rider of the NYC subway (when all you risked was at worst a mugging if your rode the wrong line at the wrong hour and the stench of urine and burnt popcorn especially at the Union Square station, I often encountered a “Pan-tangler” (as the marginally-intelligent conductor mispronounced on the PA) who held out his hand and pleaded for a donation to “The United Negro Pastrami Fund). Every now and again, I gave him buck, just because it genuinely made me chuckle.
Unlike USAID, I knew my money even here was well worth it. Heck, maybe I should incorporate the UNPF as a 501C3 and see if I can find Soros Junior…
Way past time to strip these grifters of their tax free status.
Someone who was nervous when I see freedom of speech being attacked something I would never do.
But I’m very shocked and dismayed to see such hate against the Catholic religion.

But to attack the very beliefs of people who take Christ at his word and worship on a daily basis is more shocking in my 79 years of reading history.

It’s good to see people like Paul King north, leading a movement of young men back to orthodox Christianity.

You make no sense Frank b.. What hate? I am a 72 yr. old Catholic and worship daily too. The people commenting are only telling the truth about how the Catholic church has been hijacked by socialism (which creates faithless, lazy grifters with no self-respect) and supported by this person wearing the papal ring who is not representing Jesus as the one true God. He says there are many gods and we should respect that. Revolting and true blasphemy. His position is to spread the word of Jesus as the one true God and he does the opposite.

The pope and the entirety of Catholic is antisemitic – without going into their pedophilia. People find comfort in their religion and perhaps are tempered by their religion – It is not the parishioners it is people that put themselves up as Godly humans and are no more Godly than any of us who are tempered by the reality of G-D and Yeshua as well as common sense and YHVH’S Laws and human laws.

The tax payer funds will go to the good of the tax payers not these grifters and money launderers as well as genocidal purposes.

It’s time for the all nations and people in the world to start thinking about a simple concept: “Personal Responsibility.”
If they can’t manage their own economy and feed themselves it’s their own failure. Nobody should be held responsible for feeding people who refuse to feed themselves.
I believe in the concept of survival of the fittest. The strong survive, the weak perish. The human species is not exempted from the laws of nature that every living thing on this planet must abide by. There are no exceptions.
Proof? Walk up to a polar bear or a lion in the wild and say “hi.” Or be a damn (dead) fool and step between two warring factions shooting at each other.
I’m not sure if this is true, but I’ve heard over the years that the VATICAN has ENORMOUS WEALTH! Let the Vatican pick up the slack and leave the US TAXPAYERS out of their sinister plans! Won’t it be INTERESTING to find out WHO actually GETS the MONEY???

The Vatican needs to understand that the United States cannot afford to help millions people of around the world when America will be facing bankruptcy in the near future. The Vatican does not care that we are approaching a national debt of 37 trillion dollars. Will the Vatican help us when we go under? I don’t think so.
There is one thing that is very important and that is every person on this planet must stand on their own two feet and work. It is one thing to be charitable, another to be a sucker. The USAID is a waste of the money the U.S. borrows to fund this Federal Agency. No wonder we will have a 1.8 trillion dollar budget deficit ending September 30, 2025.

Why doesn’t the pope take from the example of Jesus (I’m not trying to say he’s ever read the bible or knows anything about Jesus or a Christian God) and teach them how to fish instead of wait for handouts or pass on his vast knowledge of how to grift. I’m sure they have extra robes laying around. Show the recipients of Catholic Aid money how to guilt people into giving them money by making their prey believe they are basically evil and you are there to fix it for them, but it does of course require lifelong effort, limitless money and unquestioned submission.
Phony Francis and his globalist cohorts need to practice what they preach and break open the Vatican Vaults and give their treasure to the poor. And they should appeal directly to their followers to support their so-called church’s so-called charities.
Tell the Vatican and Poop Francis to go to hell. PRESIDENT Trump will do what he damn well pleases without any advice from the Vatican. The Vatican needs to clean up their own graft and corruption before advising anyone else.
