In this new video, Victor Davis Hanson discusses “I Told You Something is Coming & Now It’s Here,” revealing How universities are churning out graduates that are contributing to a national crisis.
Don’t miss it!

Like all of our problems , this began in the ’60s. The change began with the women’s movement into the administrative positions above the secretarial level. There were now 50% more people to employ. Also there were many new useless social science degrees. Jobs had to be created for these graduates or the tuition money would dry up. The universities were desperate all standards were abolished.
Thus began the credential game. The standard diploma meant nothing but hopefully an “advanced degree ” would. The next step was the creation of the “demonstration degrees”. If you could carry a sign and whine you got a degree. The real jobs are overseas now which obviously contributes to our continued woes. The bill is coming due and will put the “liberal arts” college system back to where it belongs.

Maybe so, but tbh, there needed to be a women’s movement or stay slaves at slave wages. Would you have wanted to be stuck in that scenario?
The other puzzle piece was the Public edu system was crappy, too many of them were on drug du jour, and the school systems were horrible as always and still in the geographic areas of the South vs the NE states as well as affluence. Lastly, look at the wage discrepancies between geographics too. Why do you think this the NE snowbirds were able to come south and buy a snowbird 2nd home, and not vice versa? And don’t forget Cali also…

VDH just proved that universities are brainwashing institutions. They admit under qualified students not to educate them but to manipulate their worldview. These hotbeds of deception exist because the leaders have failed miserably in the ONE job they were given, to educate young and vulnerable minds.
A total revamp is required that will focus on critical thinking not irrational emotionalism. Choose a trade school or Hillsdale not Brainwashing U.
Debbie says
The educators, many of them didn’t just fail, they didn’t care to start with! Don’t you remember how many HS grads went into the teaching profession because A. It was an easy program to get a degree in (brains not needed), and the perks and insurance and pension coverage was better than most and fantastic overall. Don’t forget to add in 9 mths a year of work, all weekends and holidays off, no accountability as to how horrible you as a placeholder were, and the double dipping bucket at retirement. Retire then go back in a different position to get more retirement funds. Till the not long ago finally, supposedly stopped it. And if you were accused of sexual assault et al you would just go to a “rubber room” all day and play cards wtc with the other of your bff’s and get paid your salary to do so. Thanks to the corrupt in bed with edu Unions!
CTripps says
Hanson is so correct.
As an engineering principle preparing to finally retire after turning down my firm ‘s latest offer to ‘make it worth my while to stay longer’ I am disgusted with what the universities are graduating as ‘engineers’.
Most of those STEM graduates, never once putting in one minute in-person on lab time or building anything to reflect their ‘skills’ can not handle the most basic of electronic tasks in the work force. If they cannot plagiarize someone else’ s work on the internet they are completely stumped. So much for many of those on-line degrees.
While at a conference with the presidents of corporations like Tektronix, Keystone, among others, they explained how after meeting with then President Trump they conveyed they were unable to bring back those high paying engineering/manufacturing jobs partly due the failure of universities and colleges providing the needed talent. No matter of mentoring would compensate for what these graduates do not already should know.
This country’s best days are behind it, Look at what the US developed and manufactured starting in the 1920’s with the technology at hand. It truly is amazing at the strides we as a nation made as industrial leaders.
It will take massive efforts to change that, and it won’t happen with one administration.
Zorba the Geek says
Is it any wonder that so many of our CEOs and tech magnates have Indian names?
Richard Bowman says
Remember that todays graduates know and understand less than those that taught them.
They in turn become the future educators, and thus their students will have learned even less.
Until Higher standards for admission, and graduation are set, this downward spiral will continue.
Ron Kelmell says
University bred WOKE/DEI clap trap is saturating our country. I resigned my volunteer work at the New Orleans WW 2 Museum when after a big donation from a rich ‘tranny’, management started pushing ‘inclusion’ into the lectures and my little thing guiding tours through one of the displays..
Semaphore says
Thank you for this. Universities used to be about excellence, the cream rising to the top. Strict admission standards ensured that a university education actually stood for something. Very sad state of affairs, and I fear over time it will only get worse.
Jerry says
Not mention, virtually every SINGLE ONE of them has anxiety, is on meds, or has some other mental health diagnosis. It’s almost fashionable to have something.
It’s a completely wasted generation.
