Pathetic.
The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler wrapped up the Trump smear machine at WaPo and is firing up the Smear Every Republican machine.
The involved fact check of Senator Tim Scott’s ancestry is stupid and pointless. Kessler notes that Scott’s great-grandfather managed to amass some property, but is told by an expert that may not have mattered. He argues that while Scott had said in the past that his grandfather had dropped out of school in first grade or third grade, it was actually fourth grade.
Meanwhile, the only reason this fact check even exists is because Senator Scott is going to deliver the Republican response to Biden, and WaPo is looking to take a shot at a line that he’s likely going to use in his remarks.
The Washington Post has shown very little interest in Senator Kamala Harris’ life story, let alone her ancestry, and her ridiculous claims of being a victim of racial oppression. Kamala grew up as the daughter of a globe-trotting cancer research whose stories impressed the other girls. Worse still, the Washington Post responded to the debate with a fact check that supported Kamala’s bizarre claim that busing made her career possible.
The fact check of fact checks is that fact-checking is lefty narrative spin.
