While the debate over COVID aid fund offsets and Ukraine aid is getting most of the attention, those are fairly small amounts of another insane $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill.
(Yes, we’re in territory where $13 billion is a small amount.)
As usual, there’s a 2,741 page bill that no one except the lobbyists who really wrote it read and lots of lefty priorities.
Beyond the defense spending, there’s massive HUD spending, but it’s arguably less bad than the truly insane stuff in the 2018 bill that Republicans hand a much bigger hand in.
But that’s still $65 billion in housing spending.
Despite all the scandals, $45 billion is going into NIH, of which $8.5 billion is going to the CDC.
Inflation? What inflation. We can just keep printing money. Modern monetary theory says so.
