and now is dealing with the pressing issue of eliminating womens’ privacy and sports by having men play against them.
New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) on Friday demanded that a Nassau County official immediately repeal an executive order restricting the ability of transgender women and girls to participate in athletic events at county-run facilities, arguing it is “in clear violation” of state law.
Under Blakeman’s executive order, which was signed Feb. 22 and took effect immediately, an individual’s gender is defined as their “biological sex at birth.” Local athletic teams, leagues, organizations and programs must “expressly designate” participation based on members’ sex assigned at birth, and permits must be denied to those who allow transgender girls to compete with or against cisgender girls.
Blakeman at a news conference last week said transgender athletes, regardless of their gender identity, are still allowed to compete in all-boys or coed leagues in the county. The order applies to more than 100 public venues, including parks, baseball fields, basketball courts, swimming pools and ice rinks.
In a cease and desist letter sent Friday to Blakeman, James’s office demanded that the executive order be repealed within five business days.
Meanwhile, kids are being killed.
A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed in Crown Heights Thursday, marking the third fatal shooting there this week.
Lamine Bah died from a fatal gunshot wound to his head, authorities reported. The gunman in this shooting is still at large.
On Monday, a bodega employee was fatally shot on Franklin Avenue. Police say an argument started when the employee refused to give the suspected shooter a cigar.
Anyone with information on any of these three shootings is urged to contact police.

My favorite DEI story (I should probably say least favorite) came this week from Canada where Trudeau has promised $ 4 Million to the Ukraine to fund (and I’m not making this up) “gender-transformative mine action”. With landmines everywhere there, and minesweepers generally the alpha male type, the once-black-faced woke Canadian Prime Minister wants to ensure “gender-inclusive demining for the sustainable futures of Ukraine”. I guess the Boeing 737 Max 9 “diverse” group that forgot to put in the door bolts wasn’t enough of a wake up call for Justin, but elites that come up with this drivel don’t have to suffer the consequences of missing limbs or death for being “inclusive”.
My ACTUAL favorite DEI story came out of Florida, where the University of Florida fired ALL DEI employees after a new law bars colleges from using state funds for the Marxist programs. That’s how it’s done and how it’ll have to be done.
