After the disaster in Afghanistan, there have been calls for Biden to resign. But somehow I don’t see that happening.
The Biden administration is trying to lay low, sending out its foreign policy people, Secretary of State Blinken, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, to embarrass themselves on the news shows while the political side, Biden, Kamala, and even Psaki, keep their heads down.
Biden will give his gaslighting speech from a teleprompter in which he’ll claim that…
1. We couldn’t have stayed in Afghanistan forever
2. It was Trump’s fault anyway
But the media has already challenged these narratives which are completely beside the point. America had to leave, it didn’t have to leave in a blaze of shame. And evacuating the military before the civilians was a stunningly irresponsible political move.
Who’s going to pay the price for it?
Biden’s National Security Council is stacked with incompetent anti-American radicals, but even if Biden replaces any of them, it won’t be a public purge.
That, I suspect, will be reserved for the military.
Biden won’t dump his own appointees, but the obvious target is Milley.
The Biden admin inherited Milley from Trump. There was talk among Biden’s people about getting rid of him despite how hard he worked to climb on board the critical race theory train. You can best understand Milley’s rant about “white rage” as an attempt to show Biden what a team player he is. Milley knew he was expendable. Waiting in the wings to replace him is Air Force Chief of Staff Brown, who’s black and spends a lot of time complaining about racism. It’s only a matter of time until Milley leaves and the media gets to celebrate a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs who is black and embodies the military’s new focus on losing wars and fighting racism.
The only question is whether Milley would be allowed to retire with dignity or whether he was going to be used as a scapegoat.
The disaster in Afghanistan makes it much more likely that Milley will be pushed out.
The Biden administration will look like it’s “taking action” even though the dumb decisions that led to the debacle came from Joe Biden, from his National Security Council appointees, and from the State Department. But none of those guys are going to lose their jobs.
Milley, no matter how hard he sucked up to the new leftist bosses, is, like the rest of the military, wholly expendable.
